Now working great, edit: won’t work with VPN
At first it didn’t work, but after a helpful person called Edie from Amazon support called me and she helped me fix the issue, she spent 1 hour and 30 minutes helping to fix the issue,At the end the firestick 4k needed a factory reset, and this appears to have been the issue,Hope that’s helpful, if not make sure you do a factory reset on your echo device and your firestick or cube, and also connect to the router on all devices not on a WiFi extenderThat’s if it’s having issues connecting to the blasterEdit this won’t work with ipvanish VPN, if you protect your network with it,

Sort of works but limited by the confines of the firestick programming
Got this to work with 2020 firestick as I already had an echo spot, but it still did not enable me to voice control hdmi inputs or add equipment to fire tv the way I wanted. I sent this and the firestick back and got a fire tv cube instead. This works so much better and has a more advanced add equipment selection to enable me to connect set top box and games consoles etc. Amazon were doing a special deal on the fire cube which worked out around the same cost as the firestick and the IR blaster together, so was a no brainer really.

DO NOT BUY THIS
This is VERY expensive nonsense. I bought it thinking it would be an IR blaster, but being part of the fire setup that it would be easier to set up and it would control ALL my devices using Alexa. However, it is NOTHING more than just a really crap IR blaster. Buy a non famous IR blaster, like Moes, and connect that to Alexa and you’ll have exactly the same as this, but better. Not only control your TV, your soundbar, your amps, your bluray or whatever else in your entertainment setup, but also control the AC, the heating, and EVERYTHING in your room that is IR controlled. Also this nonsense MUST be paired up to a Fire TV stick to work, but a standard IR blaster couldn’t care less. This is UTTER GARBAGE!!I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

Doesn’t work if the Fire stick isn’t powered up.
So first off, instructions on setting up aren’t entirely clear, but if you’ve already paired an Echo with a Fire Stick, it shouldn’t take too long to figure out. Online instructions are more helpful than those in the box.Signal from the Blaster seems strong and once it’s added to the pairing, setting it up for the TV was straight forward.Problem is that it doesn’t actually work to turn the TV on if the TV has been off for more than a dozen seconds. This is because, like many other people I imagine, I have my Fire Stick powered via one of the TVs USB ports. When the TVs in standby, these presumably power down, to save energy. This means that although the Echo has power and the Blaster has power, if you ask Alexa to turn on the TV, she will simply tell you that the TV is unresponsive, presumably because the Fire Stick is powered down. If she would simply send the power signal through the blaster, the Fire Stick would power up and everything would be great, but Alexa refuses to do this while the Fire Stick isn’t visible on the network.I would definitely consider this to be a design flaw, restricts the set ups the Blaster works with for no good reason. Essentially has ended up being a waste of £35. Perhaps a software update will correct this failing.

ok, but can be pain to use
Hello,This is expensive and far from perfect, if i say “Alexa, switch input to hdmi2” it wont work, but if i say “Alexa, switch input to hdmi2 on tv” will work.Same for volume i cant simply say “Alexa, volume up” i have to say on tv.So yea works but it very picky over what your voice commands is, not simple. So its kinda ok.
