Positive first impressions. I have had a love (tolerate)/hate relationship with my Fitbit Charge 5 since I purchased it. Having finally gotten fed up with its abysmal battery life, randomly shutting down and refusing to power back up, dropped connectivity, etc, I started looking for a replacement that would not break the bank. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a tracker that had a bunch of features I will never use. I mostly just wanted a watch that would allow me to monitor my heart rate, blood pressure, and sleep. Receiving text or call notifications is a bonus for when I’m away from my phone at work. This tracker does all of those things.Display and brightness are easily adjusted, and you can set a time frame for the screen to remain dark while you sleep. This alone makes it worth the investment to me since my high end tracker would still light up brightly even when in “sleep mode.” I was skeptical about the metal mesh wristband since the mesh bands I’ve had in the past tend to pull on my arm hair too much, but this band is pretty comfortable. It took a little bit of work to get it properly adjusted (I have very small wrists) but it does fit without a lot of pinching and pulling. It was comfortable to sleep in.It synced immediately when I downloaded the app, and syncing only takes a few seconds each time…not the 7-10 minutes I had to deal with from the high end POS tracker I had before. I have not tried to many of the features yet, since it just arrived yesterday, but I did discover it has a deep breathing setting you can activate for a short bit of breath work. The sleep tracking seems fairly accurate although it did lump a section of the night that I know I was awake because of hot flashes and a thunderstorm in with the REM sleep I did eventually fall into. For a “basic” tracker, it really packs a punch. The app may not have many bells and whistles, but so far it does all I care for it to do. Bonus points for not constantly trying to pressure me into enrolling into some paid “premium” subscription service. This is a very affordable tracker. Based upon first impressions, I would purchase this brand again.

I cannot say enough good things about this fitness watch! I was a loyal Fitbit user for over a decade and often recommended the brand—even though my watches typically only lasted 2–3 years. After spending so much and still not getting all the features I needed, I decided to try a non-major brand on Amazon, and I’m so glad I did. This watch is impressively accurate for sleep tracking, oxygen levels, and blood pressure. It pairs with the Da Fit app, which includes a wide variety of free video workouts that sync seamlessly with the watch. One standout feature is the phone functionality—the call quality is clear, and I can answer calls and play music directly from the watch. My Fitbit never offered that!If you’re open to stepping away from big-name brands, this watch is absolutely worth considering. It offers great value, excellent features, and a refreshing alternative to more expensive options.

I have not worn a watch for many many years. So I wasn’t going to drop a lot of money on something I might not wear for more than a few days.I bought the watch with the gold strap. This did not work very well. It kept getting caught and slipping off. Fortunately, the company had also provided a (pink) silicone strap. This worked properly. After a while, I began to like the pink color. It matches the ‘background’ and makes the watch less of a glaring statement. Unlike my experiences a long time back, I found this very comfortable and was able to wear it 24/7 without any issues. The battery is frugal and only required charging while showering. The watch comes with an app which has previously had some pretty negative reviews. However, once you get over some of its quirks, it is not too bad. The exercise videos are well organized. I don’t know how good they are as exercise (not my area of expertise), but having well organized ones you can actually do is better than not doing any. One really odd thing about them is the bug that only displayed 1/3 of the video screen on my tablet. To fix that, start in portrait mode; then press the little change aspect icon in top right; then rotate screen to landscape. Strange, but it works every time. The blood pressure, pulse, and O2 seem sufficiently accurate. The step counter, however, was way off for me. Perhaps I fidget too much, or whatever, but it is not even close to being what it should be. That likely explains why this product has so many returns. If you want an accurate step counter, this might not be it [Update: While walking, it seems ok, but it clocks up all sorts of things while not active]. I went and bought another watch that was much better for this aspect. There are things to like and dislike on both watches, so I am keeping both of them. The watch faces on the Nexa are more to my liking, and a couple of other things I prefer. The menu structures and features make this agreeable as a watch. They work well, and don’t require more than a few minutes to get used to them. The timer, alarms, and similar were all easy to use. I liked the 5-day weather. (The alarm time, has to be set in the app, but can be tre-riggered in the watch). The timer has several one-button options, such a 5 minutes, 15 minutes etc. They have a varied range of watch face styles. A few good ones in there.Like a lot of these products, there are a lot of “why didn’t they…” thoughts that come to mind, but none are especially show-stopping. Just a commentary on the s/w design process that lacks creativity and independence of thought to come up with better implementations. All in all, a nice watch. The step counter seems to count when it shouldn’t, but seems more or less on target while actually walking.

I asked on the website the following question? How many wristbands does it come with? The reply was:The FITVII Nexa Fitness Tracker comes with two wrist bands.WRONG ! I received it today (May 16, 2025) and it only came with the one attached metal wristband. I ordered the Rose Gold and it is definitely more “rose” than gold. Very unlike the goldtone color in the picture. I was expecting to receive another less formal looking band to use with it. I was disappointed there wasn’t one. The picture on the user manual shows a black band and the rose gold. The second page of the user manual “What’s in the package? It shows a picture of the watch, the charging cable and the user manual…no mention of the second wristband like it says on the website.I’ll update in the morning after its been charged. Its on the charger so I haven’t been able to turn it on yet. It also does not come with a power adapter, only the cord. The instructions say the screen will show the charging progress. Mine isn’t showing anything yet and its been on a charger for 90 minutes. I pressed the power button and still nothing. I guess I’ll wait until the morning and see if it comes on.
