Awesome
Itâs actually awesome to construct everything together. However the reason I give it 4 stars was because I donât know if the volume switch was faulty or if it was my soldering because I can put the volume on max so I canât turn it down anymore haha but itâs actually pretty cool . I live in a small populated area so thereâs not a lot of radio station near me but the sound quality is decent for the price. I would definately buy something like this again!

FM Radio Soldering Practice Kit
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The following is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of quality, all of the components appear to be well-made. The outer shell specifically has a sturdy construction, while the transparent finish allows you to appreciate your hard work, once you have finished the soldering!I actually requested the kit because, although I can solder, precision soldering on tiny components is something I would like to get better at, because I like to repair and refurbish my own electrical items – soldering repair has always been out of my reach.The included instructions are clear and well-detailed, though there is also the option of scanning a QR code to access a video guide – something I personally find much more helpful. The only issue with this is that the dialogue is in Chinese, and I couldn’t find a way to activate English subtitles. Nevertheless, the video is useful for seeing which components go where, and does show the step by step soldering of each component.I haven’t yet finished the project, however, I’ll come back and update my review, should there be anything significant to add.In summary, a good value item.

I ordered this as I want to learn more about creating my own light system in a dolls house, custom lights in a cabinet, and thought this soldering kit might help me to start a learning journey.This looks a brilliant set, the outside case is nice and clear, and sturdy. The board looks good too. I liked the instructions as I thought the images were of good quality and good written instructions.

A fun kit
I like these types of kits, they remind me of the ones I grew up making as a teen many years ago.It says beginner friendly and I would argue that is the case if you had someone to help you along. It’s a lot of different types of components and soldering styles you’ll need to use to complete it. However, it is more than possible to build if you watch enough YouTube videos.Instructions otherwise are limited to the diagram and some rough translations, however most of the larger components are plug and play, with only the resisters and caps that you really need to worry about getting the wrong way around.Beginners will come (excuse the pun) unstuck if they make a mistake though, a lot of the larger components might be harder to desolder than they are to actually solder in place, so mistakes can be time consuming to fix.All the required parts are included, you just need to provide your iron, some decent flux and solder.

Challenging kit for beginners. A level of soldering skill, patience and a steady hand required
This FM radio soldering kit is not for the faint of heart. For anyone who is just beginning to solder will find this pretty challenging. I have done a little bit of soldering in my time but admittedly I found this build pretty hard going. I have not completed it yet but at times I have got a little frustrated with the instructions and the process – maybe something to do with my failing eyesight and lack of time.Hopefully one day I will get there but I am taking a bit of a break from it at the moment. Also, as it is so cold I cannot really throw open the windows to allow the solder fumes to dissipate so will probably tackle it again once it warms up. I have taken a few images of the instructions to give you a flavour of what it is like – make of it what you will!
