Whether you’re shooting digitally or on film, Fotodiox offers the world’s largest selection of lens adapters. Mix camera/lens platforms or reinvigorate vintage glass; Fotodiox has hundreds of ways to mount lenses onto your DSLR or SLR camera. Focus confirmation chips ‘trick’ the Canon EOS body into thinking an EF lens was attached, so that the focus confirmation indicators work with any lens attached. The depth of the adapters are designed to take into account the differences in focal flange distances between the lens and camera ensuring that all lenses, both brand name and third party, will focus at least to infinity (if not slightly past). Our adapters deliver infinity focus, manual aperture control, and a sturdy build for lasting quality. The enhanced all-metal construction is backed by the Fotodiox 24-month warranty.

Compatible Canon (EF, EF-S) Mount Cameras Include:
• Firmware 1.0.3 (no test for later versions): 1300D, 1200D, 800D, 760D, 750D, 700D, 650D, 600D, 500D, 450D, 400D, 350D, 200D, l00D, 80D, 77D, 70D, 60D, 50D, 40D, 1DS2, 1DS3, 1DX, 1DX2, 7D, 7D2, 6D, 6D2, 5D, 5D2, 5D4
• Firmware 1.3.3 (no test for later versions): 5D3
Not all camera models and firmware updates are available for testing, some test results come from customer feedback.

Note:
• This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.
• Set your exposure manually or meter using your camera’s Aperture Priority (stop-down) mode.
• If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, the lens aperture will revert to its default position, which depending on the lens is either stopped down to its largest f-stop or opened up to its smallest f-stop.
• All pictures are for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary slightly due to ongoing improvements in design.

    Works very well
I bought this adapter to use with a 30 y/old Olympus Zuiko 50mm f1.8 on my Canon EOS 600D.Delivery was very fast from the USA and the adapter is very quick and easy to use.No problems connecting it to the lens, just twists on, and it had a very good fit with the camera body… not too tight and no noticeable movement. You can leave it attached to the lens when not in use as the Canon lens end-piece will screw directly onto the adapter.I’ve also tried it successfully with an old Olympus 135mm lens.On video mode the camera initially gave a “no lens error” but still recorded without a problem. This version does not have the focus confirmation chip – if focusing is a problem it’s worth trying the Magic Lantern firmware which has some software focus aids, but with the live view screen zoomed in it’s not too difficult to get a decent focus.I rated this as five stars because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do: no frills but it’s well made and easy to operate; and for less than £25 delivered it makes a whole load of legacy lenses available for dSLRs.

    Good service from Fotodiox
This is the second OM to EOS adaptor that I have purchased. The first was a cheap Chinese one that fitted well to camera but was horrbly loose on the lens. This was fixable by tightening the spring. This item initially seemed to be well made but was horribly tight on both the lens and the camera body and it was with some anxiety that I put them together, wondering if I was going to be able to get them off again. The body fit loosened up and was quite usable but the fit to the lens was still much too tight although, having another adaptor I could simply leave it on this lens permanently except that I want to be able to use my olympus macro extension tubes which should fit between the adaptor and the lens!Contacted Fotodiox and after initially asking me to return the item they decided to send me a replacement. This is a perfect fit on the camera body, a little bit tight on the lens but more than acceptable and I am altogether impressed by the service.

    shit happenz
Earlier I ordered a few pieces of this black aluminium m42 to eos adaptor from foto-diox and all went well, very well, so well, that I decided to order one more piece, eg this item, and than all started to to turn out NOT well. The piece I received was a black aluminium one but had not, like on the photo, the flange for pressing the aperture pin. So I sent a complaint to fotodiox, who were so nice to send me a replacement piece. But unfortunately this piece, although it did have that flange, turned out totally different from the ones I had ordered before, and again differed from the black aluminium one on the picture. This replacement piece was of very heavy blank and sharp-edged ill manufactured metal, and had an absolute bad fit on the camera, damaging the mount, so it turns out UNusable.Made a complaint again to fotodiox, and now they want me to pay for the postage of returnsending and all the more keep open the possibility that they will judge that the second piece is “ok” and thus will not refund me.OK, I decided to buy at fotodiox coz previous were so good, and now foto-diox completely lets me down. All the faults on their side and my money gone for having two unusable adaptors.A one-star rating is in fact too much, well lets say one star for the fuzz ;-(FA

Got it on but can’t get it off
I wanted to try my Nikon prime 28mm and 50mm on my old Eos for astrophotography. Fit the adapter to the 28mm and now it’s jammed solid. If I can’t get it off then I’ve ruined a perfectly good lens. No instructions in the package either. Price was fine until I buggered a £100 lens

Great bit of kit, does the trick.
Ordered 15th Jan, arrived on the 23rd – not bad considering it came all the way from the U S of A. Anyway, it does exactly what you want it to – I now have an ‘old’ (mid-late 80’s) Nikon E Series 50mm lens fitted to my Canon 600D. Now I can shoot at f1.8 and get much, much better shots in low light. For only £18.95 I can use old lenses that I inherited from my Grandfather on a modern day Canon camera. The only reason I’ve given it 4 out of 5 is because it is not a 100% perfect fit… there is a little bit of movement/rattle but I must stress that this is minimal and does not affect shooting. If you want to use auto focus etc then get the next model up, but for manual shooting this little adaptor is perfect. Great for manual focus pulling in video mode too. Very happy.

    Useful Nikon to EF adaptor
I bought a load of these adapters for my old Nikon AIS lenses to use on my film and video shoots. Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapters are good quality and the fit seems good with my EF mount Blackmagic 6K. A great way to keep using your old AIS Nikons and create a slightly more vintage look to you film / video work. Not quite as good as EF conversion but a great temp fix or long term adapter if you don’t want to convert.

Not a trustworthy piece of kit
As with most cheap adapters, getting infinity focus is nigh on impossible, plus when fitted the camera there is movement between the adapter and the body, thus making any form of accurate focusing a gamble. Not the best, but cheap…you get what you pay for

These star categories are garbage lol. This is a very simple adapter. I gave auto focus one star because there is no autofocus with vintage lenses, however, it does allow focus confirmation, which sometimes… sometimes works for me. Image stabilization got one star because that’s not something a simple adapter has either. Picture quality got 4 stars but that more on the lens than the adapter too. That said, if you wanna use an M42 lens mount lens on an Ef camera, this will do the job! I wish it was just a bit cheaper, $15-$20 seems more reasonable for this especially because I’d want one for each vintage lens that I get.

Adaptor removal tab is bent, so it does not engage the lens properly, will not lock into place. Adaptor prevents the lens aperture from moving, so all pictures are at whatever lens aperture the lens happens to land on when the lens is mounted onto the adaptor, unable to manually adjust it once it is on the camera. The lens can indicate on its dial say f22, but in reality the lens may be on f8. Tried it on multiple lenses, same result. Will not meter in stop down mode. Will be returning it forthwith.
