    I love this watch
Having tried a few ‘Smart watches’ to replace my ‘boring’ Apple Watch I found none of them were that smart. Either alerts were unreliable , faces the watch was advertised with weren’t available , connectivity issues if you didn’t leave the app running all the time , clunky menus and awkward navigation just to name a few. Had my EPIX gen 2 now a week and I love it. Battery life brilliant – unlike Apple. Numerous gorgeous free faces and some amazing yet reasonably priced faces to purchase. Not played golf yet but that’s another great positive for this watch. Bought a chronograph face pack for less than a spirit in my pub and this watch looks stunning. My wife is so pleased I won’t be buying any more now for quite some time.

Great smart watch. Excellent battery life
I’ve had two different samsung watches before I chose this garmin. The difference is astonishing, the samsung I’d be lucky to get 3 days of battery. The garmin…16 days! With all features turned on including altimeter, heart rate, weather that are giving constant readings. For me personally the garmin does way more than the samsung, and for what I use it for the difference is night and day. I use it for long hikes…again the samsung would give me approximately 8 hours on a full charge for gps and all other readings. The garmin gives about 40 odd hours! Absolutely brilliant watch. So pleased I took a chance. I have an epoxy sticker on the back as I have tattoos, and it works perfectly! Overall, I’m super impressed. Well worth it!
Also a little detail I like is the strap has a notch when it’s on so the end of the strap doesn’t come loose! (Hard to explain in words)

    .A Great Watch,Really Impressed
.This is my second Garmin watch, upgraded from a fenix 6, A very worthy upgrade. The big plus for me is the touch screen and the ease of using the features available via touch screen. I use the watch for Fell Walking. Cycling, and Walking, Extremely impressed with the functions of the watch. I was so fortunate to get the watch at a greatly reduced price of £192, Returned my Amazon purchase because they could not price match. Would Highly recommend this watch especially against the price comparison of the Saphire edition. Mine is the 47mm 1.3 inch size.

    Garmin Fitness Watch
I have had a Garmin Fenix 5 watch since 2018. I used for tracking walks and running and if I am honest also found the larger display useful when at work. It’s been a great watch long battery life and apart from changing the strap no issues. However when I saw the Epix watch on sale in the recent Prime sale I decided to go for it. Four days in I am not disappointed. The watch feels a lot lighter than my old Fenix and fits much better on my wrist. The display is excellent and having the touchscreen functionality makes it really easy to use. In the last six months I have been a bit more fitness focussed and the additional monitoring options available with the Epix are really helpful. I also like the fact it looks good as a casual watch for everyday use. As always with Garmin battery life looks excellent. I have the always in display enabled and after 4 days and a couple of runs still have a minimum of 4 days before I have to think about recharging. If you can get the watch for the discounted price and your in the market for a premium fitness watch my advice would be go for it.

    Great multifunction activity watch
I’ve had this watch for a month now and although it’s pricey I reckon it’s excellent value. (Actually the price on Amazon seems to have gone up by £120 since I bought it.)
It looks great, the screen is super-bright and sharp, readable even in full sun. The supplied faces are very varied and well designed. Most of them enable you to display many data items – heart rate (with a little 6-hour graph) step count, altitude, floors climbed, date, sunrise and set times, and many others. You can pick which of these you want to display, what colours to use for text etc etc. It also has all the usual timers, stopwatches etc. Although as I said I’ve been using this for a while I’m still in my infancy regarding my understanding of all its functions.
There are multiple preset activities – walk, run, cardio etc, and at the end you get a comprehensive analysis of all aspects. Multi-source GPS is automatically applied for moving activities, and supports a mini onscreen map.
The PDF manual is pretty comprehensive though rather heavy going; I’ve found just a web search with the model name and a question normally returns the relevant page of the manual quicker than you could find it in the PDF.
The linked phone app works slickly and provides a wealth of data on all activities. I particularly like the “Body Battery”, a continuous score out of 100 for your general readiness for exercise. I don’t know how it calculates this, but I’ve found that the number is spookily correlated to how I feel generally doing the day. Sleep tracking is also reliable and comprehensive.
I really only have a couple of gripes. I come from previously using a Fitbit and was surprised to find that, unlike their system, Garmin does not show the current battery level in the app. So when it’s on a charger somewhere you have to go back to it to check if it’s finished charging. Also, the supplied strap is not great. It fits OK, but it’s sweaty to wear and brought my wrist out in red weals. I’ve already replaced it with a titanium strap. Finally, although a full European mapping is available for download, there’s insufficient space on the watch for it. There’s huge support for golf players with maps and details of courses, and it seems these take up a large part of available storage. Stupidly, these are not simply deletable (although there is a hack online involving opening the watch as a device on a PC and deleting the files). A more official workaround is to just download the western Europe section only.
All in all, I’m delighted with my purchase. I may add to this review as I learn more.

I bought this watch mainly for sport like fitness, hiking, cycling and golf. The watch has a considerable weight and I prefer my Vivoactive 4 which I kept for fitness because of that. There are a lot of sportprofiles, the golf features are great and measuring the heart beats, saturation and stress levels are a big plus. The Amoled screen is very clear and detailed and battery life a lot better than Vivoactive. I am a watch lover but wear most of the time the Epix because I love the looks. Even bought a metal strap which adds to the looks.

I am really grateful to have this kind of watch. I already have other smart watches but this one is more complete. Even though it doesn’t have the option to answer call and I am not also using it in my other smart watch. This watch is really amazing.
