This smart lock is seriously awesome!Installation: My husband is able to do simple household jobs but he’s not super handy yet he said this was super easy for him even. Our 10 year old son assisted him and the two of them had the old door lock down, this new one installed, programmed, and set up with all the new features in less than 45 minutes — someone more skilled at these sorts of things who works quickly could probably have it done in 15-20 minutes. But it doesn’t take any special knowledge at all to install, and it comes with everything you need to put it up correctly.Keyless entry: This is where it gets awesome. The features on this thing are amazing! Each family member can have their own code and with an app on my phone, I can see when any given member of the house unlocks the door allowing me to know when our older kiddo gets home from school or letting me easily double check that the doors are locked when I’m away. You can also lock and unlock with your phone’s app, and so much more — all the features are on the listing so I won’t just repeat them. But so far we have two favorites. 1- we love that we can create temporary codes to give to visitors so they can let themselves in without knowing our permanent code. This has already been helpful with the crew working on renovating our bathroom, as well as with my mother in law who is prone to stopping by when we aren’t home – in both cases we made a unique passcode for each, and we picked how long we wanted the code to work – 1 hour, 1 year, it can be any length of time you anything you want! And 2 – unlocking via fingerprint. You guys, this is SO COOL! My husband, myself and both kids have loaded our fingerprints on and it is so cool being able to use that to unlock the door. I will note at first, the fingerprint seemed to only work about 50% of the time, esp for the kids. We’ve found the way to make the fingerprint work best is to use your thumb and ensure the door is closed and that your standing in front of it as you will be when you’ll be unlocking the door — ie, close the door and stand out front while you upload your fingerprint so that the finger is positioned as it will be when you’re unlocking the door in the future. We’ve found the thumb works better than the other fingers. With these tricks we’ve got the fingerprint feature working in about 9/10 tries now, meaning every once in a while it might not work the first time but then you just try again and it always unlocks. I’d say that the reliability seems to be on par with Apple’s TouchID where it works the first time most of the time otherwise the second try will work.There really isn’t a downside to this thing! We’re currently renovating our house and this is an awesome upgrade from our old boring front door lock. If you’re interested in getting this then I definitely recommend doing so, it’s a great product. We love it!

Installed this smart deadbolt on my front door recently, it’s a solid upgrade. Setup was super straightforward—no tools, no drama, just followed the instructions and had it running in minutes. The fingerprint reader works faster than I expected and the app makes it really easy to add codes for guests or deliveries. The auto-lock feature’s been helpful too—no more worrying if I locked the door or not. That said, there are a couple things that bug me. The keypad isn’t backlit very well, so at night it’s kinda tough to punch in the code unless you’ve got your phone’s flashlight out. Also, the app sometimes lags a bit when trying to lock or unlock remotely. Not a huge deal, but noticeable.
