Have been waiting for Govee to bring out this fitting type. Real game changer as the whole house is nearly smart lights. Now I just need the outside done

These bulbs work brilliantly once you have adjusted the contact on your light fitting with some needle nosed pliers. Please ensure the light fitting is unplugged. The need to do this to fit different bulb shapes is not common knowledge and it is unfortunate that these bulbs are the shorter screw length and the bulb shape means they can’t be screwed further in to longer fittings. However I have successfully installed them throughout the house as required with a little patience.

Easy to set up and haven’t lost connection yet. also plenty bright enough.Working well in Home Assistant and haven’t missed a beat

Good lights, meh app
A good pair of smart bulbs and a decent price from a well known brand. Very customisable, but let down with their app in my opinion which is a bit overly complicated for most people and things are hidden in sub menus where they don’t need to be. Good bulbs if you’ve got the patience!

Design problem and Govee response
Arrived today found all 4 not working as others had stated. Noticed that the energiser E14 bulbs these are replacing ( I have more govee lights than any other) that the length of the energiser screw thread was 19mm and the govee thread was 16mm in length. When I thought the govee bulb was tight I gave it another slight nick up and all 4 bulbs are working fine now connected to the govee and alexa app. I looks like a mishap on govee design. I will flag this up with them. Just an update contacted govee and they replied ‘we are aware of this problem and are currently discussing how to resolve it.’ They offered a full refund

Does not work. Tried to replace regular bulbs with it, so I know that the power works. Would not turn on. Would not connect to app. App would not detect product.

Great looking lights, better with Matter
This review is for the ‘Govee Smart Bulb E14, Thread Height 20mm, RGBWW WiFi E14 LED Light Bulb, Work with Matter, Alexa, Google Assistant, 450LM, 5W, 16 Million Colors, 2 Pack’Once set up, these bulbs provide are bright, vibrant and responsive. Everything you want from a Smart BulbWhen initially setting up, I did have minor issues as the set up process defaulted to looking for a Matter compatible hub. I have a few Echo’s, but these are 1st gen and not compatible. It took five or ten minutes to figure out how to bypass this and instead use the Govee App with an Alexa connection for voice control.Since configuring them into my Alexa smart home, they are now simply part of existing automations, and have been quite reliable. I have enjoyed the new life and pastel colours these bulbs have brought to my lamps.While I did have some delay in setting these up, had I got Matter infrastructure I think this would have been seamless. Recommended if you want the latest smart home standards.
