How can I tell if the calibration is correct?
Check whether the final calibration picture has significant distortion. If not, the calibration can be completed.
Can I install the camera on the bottom of the TV?
The camera needs to be installed at the top center of the TV so that it can position every foam sticker for better calibration and convenient colour-picking.
How do I reinforce the LED strip light and camera?
Press firmly when sticking the strip light and use the provided cable clips to reinforce. The extra 3M stickers can be attached to the counterweight’s silicone grip for additional attachment strength.
Do I have to connect the tv light with Wi-Fi to match and react with the tv screen?
You need to connect the tv led light to 2.4G Wi-Fi first and then use the light with “Video Mode.” 5G is not supported.
Why can’t the image be loaded during calibration, and how should this issue be resolved?
Only supports 2.4G network, it is recommended to be as close to the router as possible, or turn on the personal hotspot for network configuration and calibration.

I LOVE THESE .These lights have to be the best thing I bought this year. They are so easy to use and have a variety of setting and colours. They fit perfectly on my TV and they are super bright. They work really well and even conduct to my floor lamp. They react with the colours on the tv so they give the room such a great vibe. They were a little bit tricky to connect at first but got the hang of it, I definitely think itâs a two man job. The remote control feature on my phone is amazing and lets me use them with ease.

so i goy this on a speical and im super pleased with it the camera on top of the telly is abit fidly to colaberate but the app makes it simple and the lights are great, theres a sound effect switch on the app which makes action scenes realyy pip and for suttle motiin it really makes the movie stand out. well worth buying

Decent for the money
I was a bit sceptical about buying from a brand Iâd not heard of before, but after a few reviews on YouTube I figured it would be worth a punt.Overall Iâm very happy. It gives a decent glow and does react well for a camera based system, particularly given Iâm using it on a curved TV. If you want lightning fast accurate reactions then you’ll be better served by getting an HDMI based system.It does sometimes give off strange colours that donât entirely match whatâs on the screen but given what it costs it does quite well.Installation is quite easy. Itâs all self adhesive strips. The app is quite simple and easy to use at the same time. I got myself a Govee smart lightbulb at the same time, which also syncs up to the screen lights. I was going to get a Philips Hue system but this does the job for a lot less.Granted the Philips system is going to be better, but youâre also paying a lot more for it.If youâre after a similar effect, but donât have hundreds to spend this is ideal.

Good colours
Size was good however instalation was a bit fidly. Works realy well with the camera but must be calibrated acuratly for this to work well and match the colours on screen. Has a wide variety of settings, build quality is good and looks neat and tidy. What I like most is the fact it dosent need plugging into the TV just a plug socket the rest is wireless. Versatile but does take time to install.

I brought this for a monitor smaller than the recommend 40-55 inch screen, my screen is a 27inch screen since I couldnât find one from govee for a smaller screen.This is amazing, works really well once set up, you might have to do a little tweaking in the app but itâs very easy to understand and simple. Makes my setup look a lot more better and overall really pleased with the product!The lighting effects are great, the colours are nice and vibrant, so vibrant I didnât have to put the saturation all the way up!10/10 highly recommend!

No replacement for Ambilight
Bought this to complement a new HiSense TV we’d had to buy when our old Philips Ambilight TV broke down. Had seen reviews on YouTube and plenty of tech sites promoting/reviewing Govee products in a positive way.I enormously regret my purchase. This thing is flakier than a cereal factory.The install process is utterly broken. For a start the “quick start” guide lists steps in a different order to the manual and a different order again from the guide on the app. The installation process includes several details about just how precise you need to be when installing the light and the camera. So after taking all the necessary steps (including using a spirit level to check the camera angle) and after I’d stuck the packaged foam markers to the screen for calibration, I was disheartened to see that the calibration process is fully manual.The user is required to manually drag calibration markers to line up with the foam markers, but this is done through the worst interface I have ever seen, across a rubbish low-quality, grainy view top-down view of the TV. The calibration markers frequently placed themselves off the screen, meaning they could not be pulled back into place to line up.The app is inexplicably ~450mb. There is no reasonable explanation for this. It’s fully double the size of the Hue app yet offers less than half the functionality. And yet it’s required to be able to use these lights properly. It’s slow, buggy and pretty hostile to users.The lights themselves are…. underwhelming for the price. They emit a pleasant enough light and can get bright but if you’re expecting an adapting colour effect along the lines of what Ambilight offers then sadly this is not the product for you. When you actually find the “follow video” setting in the app, it seems that the best the lights can offer is to apply a general light tone behind the TV. Where Ambilight accurately (and quickly) uses light to “extend” the picture out behind your TV, these lights instead use the carefully-calibrated camera to…. make a rough and very slow estimate of whether the screen is mostly green/red/blue etc.I’ve tried as many different settings as I can, I’ve messed with the colour contrast and brightness settings, I’ve enabled “game” mode in the hope that performance would improve. Nothing helped.To top it all off, unlike any other cheap RGB light strip, these won’t even power via the TV USB. You have to have a dedicated 240v plug socket for them. This means that the lights won’t even power up with the TV. You have to either reach behind the set to find the button on the control box or you have to fire up the awful app.I will say that the 3M sticky material used is far better quality than I’ve seen on cheaper lights. But sadly this also means that I can’t claim a refund because the lights have now fully bonded to the plastic on the back of the TV and I can’t remove them.Absolutely not fit for purpose, avoid at all costs. I’d have been better-placed buying a cheap set of basic RGB lights from B&M

I would hundred percent recommend this product. The colours are not an exact match to what is shown on the screen.Overall, it gives a better immersive experience when watching high definition movies at home.The installation process is simple but time-consuming since you will need to get access to the TVs rear panel but itâs well worth the hassle
