Does the job, with caveats
This cable is great for getting a basic display from your iPhone onto a screen with minimal fuss, but there are a couple of caveats.The first is just the build quality. It’s fine, but the cable itself is very thin, especially compared to the bulky HDMI connector. It all feels just a little bit like a bit of string attached to a brick. But it’s a nice braided finish that’s very flexible, so I’m nitpicking there.Bigger issue for some people is that this doesn’t support HDCP. In fact, I don’t know of any cables of this type that do support HDCP. What that means is you’re not going to be able to view content with DRM on a big screen, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, or other streaming services. This is not the fault of this cable, it’s just how it is, but it’s something to keep in mind.It’s great for sharing a desktop and doing presentations on the fly. If you’ve just got a Keynote presentation on your phone and this cable in your pocket, you can still rock up and give a full presentation on any screen, which is exactly what I’m using it for. And for that stuff, it’s pretty great value.

Great way to get YouTube on the TV
Got this to use for when stopping away from home and want to watch YouTube or videos on the TV where Iâm stopping.This cable is simple to use. You just plug it in and it mirrors whatâs on your iPhone onto the TV screen, up to 1080p. I like to view my home videos on the TV, all of which are recorded in 4k. No fear, they still play fine, just at 1080p.Note that there are certain services that this will not work with (see pics), but this is because of some sort of DRM, not the cable.The only thing I wish is that the cable were twice the length so I could sit on the settee at home and use it or lie on the bed in a hotel and use it without getting up to swap videos.Overall, Iâm happy with this cable. Itâs a great way to view home photos/videos or YouTube on your telly, either at home or away. It works without any config and the picture is great and smooth without any noticeable artefacts.

Perfect accessory that I needed to connect iPhone to new Jeep Grand Cherokee passenger screen. I tried another cable from a different company and had to return it since it didnât work. I found this one, plugged it in and connected my phone and works great!!! Great cable accessory ti have for a long car ride.
