Not quite sure with other statements that it’s the wrong way around, it’s not. For me this is great to set up my old 1080p monitor into my newer GPU that no longer has this port, making it a great way to utilise a third monitor for me. It works, so there’s little else to write about. At £5.99 it’s cheap too so you’re not going to break the bank. I saw no image degradation either, at least from what I could tell since an old 1080p display doesn’t look good next to a large 1440p 165hz and 4k display. Nothing wrong with it.

It’s HDMI, not DisplayPort. If your device has a DP socket, this is not the adapter you need. It’s also the old VGA on the other end, not DVI. Just to be extra confusing, the listing also has the reverse of this adapter listed, with an HDMI female and VGA male so you can connect a modern monitor to an old PC. Check to make sure you order (and receive) the right one!OK. With all that over with, the device is well made. The VGA socket has proper screw connections so it won’t work loose. You just attach it to the end of the old monitor cable, and leave it alone. Plug the HDMI end into your graphics card or console, and off you go.This is a very situational adapter. I’m not sure how many people will need to connect an ancient VGA monitor to a modern PC. Flight simmers using an old monitor as an instrument panel, maybe. Or people running a console emulator. Or someone working from home who just wants a second monitor without spending a fortune…I’ve got mine hooked up to a cheap mini PC which runs my CNC pickup winding machine. Likewise, if your PC is set to a high resolution or refresh rate that the monitor can’t display, you won’t be able to see the picture – set the PC’s resolution to the lowest possible before you plug in.

Ich habe nur gute Erfahrung damit gemacht. Der bisherige Adapter leistete über 7 Jahre gute und treue Deinste und das bei recht geringen Kosten. Die Lieferung kam sogar einen Tag früher als angekündigt. das war sehr gut, da ich am Desktop ohne Bildschirm war.
