2 Modes Working Principle
The light can turn on automatically when person is active within its range and last for 30-60 seconds then turn off .But continuous movement in the detection area will not cause the lamp to turn off.
Dusk to Dawn Motion Sensor Mode: In this mode,the motion sensor light will only work from dusk to dawn.
24 Hour Motion Sensor Mode: In this mode,the motion sensor light will work both day and night.

For the price this is a find… Easy to install with 2 options on how .. It is sleek and fresh looking .. The light as you can see is bright giving full view of the door …The sensor gives peace of mind that you can see who is at the door before opening or indeed using your keeys to get in.. So far worth every penny

Plus – Bright light. Fitting has label saying 1500lumens (not the currently described 1800), so that is just under 100w traditional bulb, but plenty for my porch. It says it is double insulated, but there is an earth wire present. It is a bright white light, the LED is hard to look at directly. It is slim as described.Cons, @around 2.5 meters off the ground the PIR will not trigger the light until I am around 1.5 meters from it.You cannot switch and leave it on as a normal light. In the nightime activation setting you can switch the light on by turning the switch off, waiting a few seconds and switching it on again, but you are only activating the PIR timer so it will switch itself off again. So pointless. Mine stays on for 25 seconds. There are no installation instructions. So while it is not rocket science it does mean sitting down for ten or more minutes and working out which way up the fitting bracket goes and which screws to use with what. The zero in its IP40 rating means it has O protection against any moisture ingress whatsoever.

Didn’t Last Long – But then Replaced ! !
Postscript : Contacted by the distributor and replaced free of charge. So very well impressed. It’s a great bright, well designed light, simple to install (yes, it really is !) and, being a ‘solid state’ LED should last a v long time. Have upgraded the rating to 5* as it deserves this.Initially well impressed, located in an under stair area, gave a bright light and worked well on motion detection. BUT here we are, less than 2 yrs later and it’s died. Not often used, can’t change the light source and a new one required. I thought these LED’s were meant to last circa 50k hrs. I changed all our house downlights (70+) to LED fittings yrs ago and not one has needed replacement despite far greater use. So beware, it may not last as long as you expect.

Great little motion activated light
I have been struggling for sometime with everyone in the house leaving the light on in the downstairs toilet. So I saw this light and thought it would be a good thing to try.I wasnt disapointed, the light came with everything needed to get it installed and short consise but simple instructions. We fitted it using the existing wiring in the ceiling and it replaced the existing ceiling rose.The light is extremely bright perfect for the toilet. It detects the door opening without fault leaving light on whenever needed. It comes with both motion and light sensor and you can operate it in motion mode, or motion and it being dark.Now my only slight issue is that the 30 second timeout is a little short, but as the sensor is excelent a quick node of head or wave gets the light back on.Great product, feels sturdy and well made and looks great.
