Great sound quality at a great price
Well pleased with this soundbar. I was looking for an inexpensive yet good quality soundbar and found it in the Hiwill.To get Dolby Atmos surround sound in a product at this price point is really unusual. I picked it up for just £89 in a prime only promotion with a £30 voucher. Sound quality is great for both music and speech. The big 5.5 inch woofer easily fills the room with sound.I am using it with the HDMI cable. One thing worth mentioning is that to be able to use Dolby Atmos your TV must have eARC capability on its HDMI port. Ordinary ARC on HDMI does not have enough bandwidth to carry the high data rate required for Atmos. It will still work with ordinary ARC, and will still sound darned good. Similarly Atmos is not available over the optical or bluetooth interfaces.Being a budget product the surround sound speakers are wired, so you have the problem of where to put them without the wiring becoming a problem. But then again, wireless speakers are not really wireless. They still need a power cable, so both systems have their issues.I find the remote control is unnecessary. When connected over HDMI, turning the TV on will turn the soundbar on also, and volume can be controlled with the TV remote (or Amazon firestick remote in my case)

Great sounding soundbar, wish the LED display was less bright
This soundbar setup sounds really good and is impressive for the price.The range of sound is great as it offers some nice deep bass without compromising things like clear dialogue. The Dolby Atmos-compatible surround sound feels immersive, especially with the two additional speakers placed in optimal positions. Itâs such an upgrade for movie nights!The setup was quick and easy, and I appreciated the multiple connection options (HDMI, optical, Bluetooth). Everything needed was included in the box, even batteries for the remote, which is rare nowadays. The subwoofer and surround speakers are wired, which limits placement a bit, but the cables are more than long enough.A downside I’ve found is the LED display. Itâs very bright and can be a bit distracting when watching movies. It also tends to stay on, which slightly breaks the cinematic mood. Another downside I’ve found is the soundbar doesn’t work seamlessly with my TV remote like my old one, and whenever it turns on, the default volume is quite loud.That said, this is a great-sounding soundbar for the money. If you’re after a budget-friendly way to upgrade your TV watching with decent surround sound, this is a strong contender. Just be prepared to deal with the glowing display.

I ordered this to replace my computer speakers and WOW call me impressed, love the sound quality in gaming and Pink Floyd has never sounded so good from my computer.An excellent bit of kit and would highly recommend it.

Very happy nice kit spoiled by a silly detail
This is the second sound bar I’ve reviewed for Vine… I’ve never owned one before so this review is probably best for newbies like me.It has a lower profile than my first, which is great; it means that the centre speaker fits between screen and stand, whereas the first one had to sit in front. Little details…Everything on this model has to be wired in (ie main speaker, side speakers and subwoofer), which I’m less keen on; my last model connected to all but the main (centre) bar wirelessly, which in my opinion is far better and allows for much more flexible, and aesthetically pleasing, placement. Here, for example, the bulky subwoofer now has to sit in plain sight in front of the TV; my last one was hidden behind a sofa.That said, the sound quality (and controllability) on this one is far superior, with a generally richer sound and good options to set things to sound the way you like them.Connection via HDMI, optical and Bluetooth all worked seamlessly, with no lipsynch lag on the Bluetooth (NB if you do suffer lag it’s often the broadcasting unit’s fault, not the speakers; I recently reviewed a VERY expensive projector whose lag was over half a second on any Bluetooth device).If you haven’t used a sound bar before you’ll quickly notice an overall improvement in quality over your TV speakers, and the whole kit (ignoring wires) looks good.But at this point I am going to knock a star off for something which REALLY irritates me. When I buy an expensive, smart looking piece of tech I want it to blend into my home aesthetic, NOT be covered in advertising stickers saying how woop-de-do the features are – that should be kept for shop displays; or at the very least I expect the stickers to peel off easily. Not here; a ruddy great sticker on the otherwise sleek and black centre speaker which has left a ghastly sticky residue behind which has so far resisted all chemical and mechanical efforts to remove it.Sort it out, Hiwill. It’s a silly reason to lose a star.

not a good as expected
After reading reviews I decided to purchase. I’m a sucker for good sound but this lacks bass and overall clarity. it’s OK for the money but i wouldn’t recommend it. If like me u appreciate surround sound, put the extra £50+ and get another. it’ll do if u don’t mind if it’s not spoton, and no bass. I get better bass out the one i replaced. 1 star took off cos off bass, woulda gave it 4. OK build quality and very easy to setup
