This soundbar was alot better than expected, however it kept cutting out and I couldn’t figure out why! Would have given five stars because it was clear and brilliant with the job at hand, but need to find out what the problem was by trying another one to see if it is better. Such a shame cause I liked this.

Improves the tinny sound you get from built-in tv speakers.
Decent value when on promotion for around £200. I’m just a casual user so don’t have high or unreasonable expectations for this soundbar but to my ears it sounds great and is a huge improvement on the standard tv speakers. Setting it up could be a bit fiddly depending on your individual circumstances and if you have a suitable power point to place the subwoofer near your sofa.

For the price itâs hard to beat, Sound quality is as good as any costing an arm and a leg. Two small gripes. No mounting brackets included although it shows them on the fixing instructionsâ¦.perhaps mine were missing?.The Sub does pick up some strange interference depending where you place itâ¦all you have to do is experiment if yours has this problem.Only given 4 stars due to those couple of comments other than that excellent sound bar well worth the price

Premium sound at a great price
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of the brand, Hiwill. I didn’t think that this would be up to the mark whilst unboxing this, especially when it came in a standard brown, yet branded package. That said, it was securely wrapped up with all items in tact with no issues.So, this was my new setup in my other house that’s just gone a refurb with very little furniture, and a TV mounted on the wall with a small unit just below for the sound bar, the sub positioned in the corner of the room and then the rear surround speakers mounted on some stands that I bought that went well with the sofa. The rear speakers are best mounted at a height where you can hear them, rather than being mounted high up on the wall as this will maximise the experience.The front sound bar does majority of the work, filling your room with exhilarating sound giving you an immersive experience.The sound bar has front and up firing speakers which make a huge difference, especially the up firing ones.This can be compared to high end systems and would probably not be too far off from matched quality for a decent affordable price, currently shy of £250 with a £40 voucher.

It’s a fair effort.
It’s quite clear that the development has gone into the sound quality on this sound system. Having used a curved Samsung soundbar and sub for the last 5 years or so. I decided to give this Hiwill 5.1.2 system a go. Things have moved on for sure and despite it’s relatively cheap price. You do actually get lots for your money. The sound quality is honestly pretty good. Particularly the soundbar itself. With the upwards pointing speakers you get a real sense of atmosphere. Especially when it comes to movies and TV shows that have been produced in the last decade or so. The older movies I own that haven’t been remastered are just louder.The rear speakers are quite powerful and show no signs of lag.Connecting was super easy. As you’d expect with any modern product. I just used Bluetooth. I had to invest in a little dongle for my pc. That was at a cost of £4.I would rate this a 5* product. But the elephant in the room really is the build quality and styling. It’s super plain looking and mostly just a perforated metal. The front sound bar looks ok. But nothing has gone into styling at all.I love the lack of cables. That’s something worth mentioning.The subwoofer is fairly large in size. But it’s quite thin and I’ve stuck it to the side of my couch. You get a little vibration with the bass and it all adds to the immersion.Honestly. For the cost. This thing is a little marvel. We love it in our house. It really brings movies and TV to life.
