Innovative design
This HSU action cam accessory set is pretty good. I already have most of these pieces from other kits but I rather like the innovative locking system that stops the mounts coming off.There are rubber/silicone inserts in the slides that stop the clips from being squeezed to release them. Took me a few minutes to work it out when I couldnât get the mount out of the slides! Just lift them up before trying to remove the mount and it gets really easyâ¦Made from solid plastic, theyâre pretty sturdy and the 3M VHB adhesive pads supplied are pretty much the standard fixings these days.I also liked the little key/handle supplied. It slips over the spindle and lets you wind the screw fittings into place much quicker than just twisting them on. Nice touch, that.I have yet to fit the base plate to my ski helmet but the curved one will be going on pretty soon.The kit also includes enough adapters to fix your camera at pretty much any angle you want.A good value set, in my opinion.

Adhesion is good.
I ordered this for use on a new bicycle helmet. Adhesion is good – exactly what you’d expect with 3M pads, the last thing you want is the mounting pad coming off and your camera taking a tumble at speed.I use my helmet cam for bikepacking video’s. So the curved pad is on my helmet and I’m going to use the flat pad on my Ortlieb handlebar bag.It’s a good and comprehensive set for under a tenner (£9.99 at the time of reviewing).

Good gopro style mounts
Using it these for downhill, It has held on perfectly whilst getting splashed by water and be bounced around on my helmet. They seem completely compatible with official go pro mounts and hold their position well. Its nice to be able to position the camera well on the helmet too, this gives a good full range of places you could attach it.

There appears to a moulding point that needs removal on one mounting plate.
The ‘HSU Helmet Mounts Set for Go Pro Action Cameras, Extension Arms, Quick Release Buckle Clip, Accessories Kit, for Hero 13/12/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3’ arrived in a branded box.I was disappointed to find that no instructions were included for those that might need them, specifically in regards to the adhesive pads, which may need to be left for some time for the adhesive to cure, and being VHB if there is different adhesive on each side, which side attaches to what.Having never used the buckle type fitting it took me some time before I realised the rubber flap had to be lifted to allow the clip to compress to fit the mount, and likewise remove it; instructions would have prevented that wasted time.There is in my opinion an issue with the rectangular mount in that there appears to be a moulding point that needs to be removed as it interferes with the adhesive pad laying flat.One aspect that should also be considered is that these mounts can be attached to any suitable surface that has an element of curvature, and the arms being of a standard design can be linked with other arms as needed to give a greater range of options.

Awesome choice of camera mounts! I used one to secure my camera to my work hardhat, and it fits perfectly. Unlike other mounts, this one features a rubber locking tab that really helps keep your camera from slipping off your helmet. It’s a solid accessory for all your camera, photography, and social media needs.

Excellent selection of camera mounts. Used to attach my Insta360 X3 camera to my ski helmet. Great fit and unlike other mounts this one has a rubber locking tab that should help prevent your camera from falling off your helmet.

Jeder kennt es eigentlich und hat sowas schonmal für eine GoPro oder andere ActionCam mit GoPro-Mount gekauft.Auch hierbei handelt es sich um ein ganz klassisches Helmhalterungsset mit den üblichen Bestandteilen.Die Qualität der Teile ist ordentlich und auch bei etwas stärkerer Belastung hätte ich hier keine Bedenken dass mir die Halterung abfällt.Mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen.Funktioniert gut, ist genau so wie zu erwarten und ist vom Preis her super.Wer auf der Suche nach einer Helmhalterung ist, erst kaufen dann nachdenken.
