Solid construction and performance for the price point
I’ve always loved HyperX products, I have a 7 year old Hyperx Cloud II headset that’s still going strong even though the leather is starting to flake off. HyperX construction always feels premium with the brushed metal, soft leather, accent stitched thread, etc and their microphone line follows that same trend. The Quadcast is much bigger and heavier than I expected it to be based on the listing photos. It feels sturdy in the hands. Nothing feels cheap, not even the soft coated plastic parts. It looks sleek, even for a gaming mic. I don’t care for the black and red or RGB aesthetic, but HyperX does a good job of toning it down while still making it marketable to that specific crowd. I bought a pop filter that blocks out 90% of the red LED which unfortunately can’t be turned off, although it serves the purpose of letting you know that the mic is on and active so it’s not all bad. I would recommend a pop filter, although the Quadcast has one built in, it was still picking up some pops from about 7-8 inches from my mouth. Pop filter eliminates it entirely. I also bought a boom arm, the Quadcast’s shock stand wasn’t able to filter out impact noise from my wood desk, could just be the size and density of my desk and not specifically the stand’s fault, but again the boom arm eliminates that issue entirely. As far as performance, I was upgrading from my Hyperx Cloud II mic which has always been subpar so it was a significant difference, all of my friends mentioned it within seconds of hearing me talk on the Quadcast, saying I sounded really clear, like I was “in their head”, or like I was on a podcast. This was with no finetuning, now I use the SteelSeries Sonar program for the ClearCast AI noise cancelling, it filters out my keyboard taps and background noise better than Discord’s Krispy and also carries over into in-game recordings, Krispy obviously cannot. Also love the mute function. Gentle tap on the end of the mic works every time, super responsive. It’s a great mic, I don’t think you’ll find anything better for the price, this is it. I’ve already gotten some of my friends to buy it because they were so blown away by how much better and clearer I sound. If you’ve been considering making the switch from a headset mic, I’d say look no further. You will not be disappointed with this mic.

Great mic for anything you throw at it
I recently purchased the HyperX QuadCast Standalone Microphone, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. From its sleek design to its exceptional audio quality, this microphone has exceeded my expectations in every way.First and foremost, the build quality of the QuadCast is top-notch. It feels sturdy and durable, which is important for a piece of equipment that will see regular use. The sleek and modern design also adds a touch of elegance to my setup, enhancing the overall aesthetic. But beyond its looks, the QuadCast truly shines in its audio performance. The clarity and crispness of the sound it captures are outstanding. Whether I’m recording podcasts, streaming games, or conducting virtual meetings, the QuadCast delivers crystal-clear audio that is sure to impress.I also appreciate the convenience of the built-in shock mount, which helps reduce unwanted vibrations and noise for a cleaner recording. The adjustable gain control and headphone output are additional features that make it easy to fine-tune my audio setup to suit my needs.Overall, the HyperX QuadCast Standalone Microphone is a fantastic product that I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a high-quality microphone. Its exceptional build quality, stylish design, and outstanding audio performance make it a standout choice in its price range. Whether you’re a content creator, streamer, or professional needing reliable audio equipment, the QuadCast won’t disappoint.

High Quality Microphone
I bought this microphone last year but am only now getting around to writing a review. Overall, this microphone is of excellent quality, the audio sounds crips and clear. One of its standout features is the adjustable audio input setting, controlled by a dial on the back, which helps minimise background noise. The microphone feels sturdy and well-made, not cheap or overly lightweight, you can easily change the stand out as well. Additionally, you can easily change the colour of the microphone with the HyperX NGenuity software, and it’s not too difficult to understand. One downside Iâve noticed is that, on Windows 11, the microphone automatically switches on when certain apps are opened. And people can occasionally also hear my mouse clicks or typing on the keyboard (despite adjusting the dial) but that is about it. No issues so far with the audio quality however! 5/5If your microphone sounds too quiet even after you’ve changed the dial, go to the (Windows) Settings > System > Sounds and scroll down to Input and increase the volume there.

Bit of a late review to purchase, but this microphone is wonderful.Bought it on recommendation and I didnât know what to expect. The tap function on the top of the microphone to mute and unmute paired with a clear âon” and “off” from the LED in the mic helps tremendously.Plugging it in for the first time is easy and effortless, and the modes toggled on the knob are simple and effective. The audio quality produced through is it great! after a few tests to sedate my curiosity I discovered its strong enough to even pick up on my heartbeat if I leaned close to it and with the correct settings.Iâm not using this thing for anything professional, but for me itâs PLENTY enough! Conclusion: nothing bad to say! Easy to set up, sound is great and it looks cool too, a really nice addiction to the desk. I very much recommend this microphone

The HyperX QuadCast is an ultra-credible USB mic. Was on superb price during Ramadan offers. Here’s what you need to know:1. Versatility and Quality:- The QuadCast offers great response and is easy to use.- It’s ideal for podcasting, streaming, or any vocal-centric application.- The red lights indicate when you’re live, making it user-friendly.2. Technical Details:- Dimensions: 21cm (without stand), 25cm (with stand)- Weight: 254g (without mount or stand), 364g (total)- What We Like: Easy setup, clear when muted, decent quality- What We Don’t Like: USB-only, slight sibilant boost, added light3. Sound Quality Metrics:- Sound Quality: 9.5/10- Bass: 9.5/10- Midrange: 9.7/10- Highs: 9.0/10- Durability/Build Quality: 9.0/10- Value: 9.0/10- Design: 9.0/104. Overall Impression:- The QuadCast is a reliable choice for content creators and gamers.- While it’s not for professional recording, it delivers excellent performance within its price range. The Blue Snowball iCE is an entry-level USB mic with its own unique charm:1. Design and Looks:- The spherical design resembles a retro radio, making it stand out.- It’s compact and comes with a solid metal stand.2. Sound Quality and Quirks:- Crystal-clear quality for both speaking and singing.- It has a single polar pattern (cardioid) and lacks additional modes.- Not ideal for extreme closeups or handling distance.3. Pros and Cons:- Pros: Mid-century aesthetics, great sound (with tweaking), portable- Cons: Limited polar pattern, not suitable for extreme closeups4. Comparison with HyperX QuadCast:- The Snowball iCE is budget-friendly, while the QuadCast offers more features.- Both serve different purposes: the QuadCast for streaming and podcasting, and the iCE for entry-level recording. In summary, choose the HyperX QuadCast if you want versatility and professional-grade performance. Opt for the Blue Snowball iCE if you’re on a tight budget and need a straightforward USB mic. Each has its niche, so consider your specific needs when deciding.Remember, the right microphone depends on your use case and preferences!

Perfect Mic for dictating into my MacBookPro, for Facetime calls, Discord, Word Docs, filling executable.pdfs, iMessage–anything that I use a Mic for. I can even talk to people on my outdoor security system–and I use a great boom that’s really perfectly strong & manipulable: hides the cable and the springs, looks sleek AND only cost me $40, NOT $160 PLUS! I bought the “InnoGear Mic Boom Arm Microphone Stand w/Cable Management.
