felt like a steal at this price, and while it said “does not include battery”, they in fact had TWO in there. Nice case…. I just cant believe I can buy this much drone for that price and have it delivered free and fast to my door. Unbelievable value, and so far so good (only had to replace one blade, and it came with replacements). I like everything about this purchase. In fact came back and bought a second for oldest Son to have 🙂 Awesome combo / kit.

My impression is that this drone is restricted to a range of about 100 meters from the controller.20 minutes after I ordered this at $19 it was shown as “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”Oddly, the same seller, Hytobp Direct Store, sells this same drone on another Amazon page for $120, after application of a $10 coupon. That listing includes three batteries.The Hytobp Direct Store does not sell batteries for this drone.At the time of my order this listing said that this drone does not have a battery.” And the unopened box that it came in has a sticker that says “No battery. 0 flight time.”Yet the description and reality are at odds in several respects. My unit actually came with two batteries. Perhaps my unit sat on a shelf so long that the batteries were presumed to have been damaged by excessive and prolonged self-discharge. I don’t know.The description also says that it comes with a remote control WITH AN LCD DISPLAY … [that] … clearly shows the flight altitude and distance.” The supposedly included LCD display was the main thing that attracted me to this drone because I don’t have a smart phone. But no LCD display was included.So maybe I have a unit with two old and long discharged batteries, and no LCD display.I was able to purchase batteries elsewhere. Regardless of the lack of a display screen, the probably very short control distance, and the possible lack of useable batteries, a $19 drone with a decent camera, GPS, and the ability to “follow me” is a bargain.There is an enclosed User Manual, in color, with 20 English pages of very fine print, but nowhere in it is the name or model of the drone, the name of the manufacturer or the retailer, any address, any warranty information, or any specifications table.I was able in a web search to find a user manual on the Hytobp website, but it is only 7 pages including the cover. It is not in pdf format and it is very difficult to copy.

Initially, I had written a review and given this an ok rating. The video is from my first flight. It seemed ok, right? I thought there were a few glitches but that Iâd try again another day and see if I could work those out. Read onâ¦.UPDATE: SO I WENT OUT A SECOND TIME TO TRY AND TEST THE FOLLOW ME. PLENTY OF AVAILABLE SATELLITES, CALIBRATED AS REQUIRED…THIS TIME I COULDN’T GET THE DRONE UP IN THE AIR WITHOUT AN IMMEDIATE CRASH….FIRST TIME IMMEDIATELY FLEW SIDEWAYS, NEXT TIME TOILET BOWL THEN CRASHED, REPEATEDLY TRIED DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, RECALIBRATED BOTH GYRO AND COMPASS MULTIPLE TIMES….EVERYTIME IT WENT OUT OF CONTROLL IMMEDIATELY AND CRASHED! SO I TRIED A DIFFERENT DAY AND DIFFERENT LOCATION. FINALLY REALIZED THAT IT IS DEFECTIVE. Even though the app and controller indicate that the compass calibration was complete, I realized that the drone compass wasnât getting calibrated so the drone compass is defective.I contacted the company and since I got this drone free for review, their answer was they would give me half off the purchase of another droneâ¦No thanks.I would stay away from this drone (and this company).

For the price range (~$150 list), this drone is packed with features and flies true. When I requested this for review, it had a price of $18 on it, listed with no batteries and zero flight. I took a chance and am glad I did. It was the full kit: batteries/charger, LCD remote, phone mount, collision detection sensor, camera/gimbal, and case. Batteries charged, drone calibrated and took flight.I would call this a high entry level to intermediate drone (being still compact, but bigger than many), either way, well worth the $150 asking price in comparison to others. Setup was simple (calibration, obstacle detection, etc…) and Wi-Fi syncing a snap, ready to fly in minutes. App and remote display are intuitive, having all information readily available.As far as flight, gyro stabilization is fantastic (no micro adjustments necessary), controls are very responsive, and GPS tracking/return works very well, following effortlessly and landing within 3 feet of takeoff or remote location. It doesn’t have all the flips and tricks that others do, but I didn’t want that, instead feeling very satisfied that it performs its core features superbly.Battery life and flight time are great at about 30-45 minutes consistent flight (dependent on use of video capture). Range is amazing and it also comes with a low battery feature which limits range (distance/altitude) so it can make it back safely (using an auto return) before dying. I also love that the GPS works in reverse, allowing for drone location, in case you happen to crash it. Props are pretty standard and easily replaced.Camera…not half bad at all. It takes pretty good pics and halfway decent video, which I would say is HD, but maybe not 4k. I did initially have some issues getting stills to capture and save, but that resolved itself quickly (maybe a connection issue). I wish the gimbal adjustment was a little smoother, having steps for panning (maybe 20 degrees each adjustment), but that is minor considering it does work well. All around, this has been an excellent drone to fly and explore new photography means, with tons of features for a reasonable price.

This drone has a lot of features. Being that its GPS based, it is not a turn on and fly drone. It takes a few minutes to go through the initialization and startup sequence which includes various things like spinning it around on the ground a couple of times, then picking it up and rotating it around the y axis a couple of times. Then it must search for satellites and then goes on for a couple more minutes doing other things. Finally, the tail lights stop blinking, it makes a churp and you can now power it up. It flies great, is stable and maintains a position well. The camera connected easily to my phone through the app and it updates pretty quickly so flying by video is possible but there is a tiny delay. The instructions are pretty good, better than a lot of drones. All in all, it’s a well designed, well built and fully featured drone. Pleased with it for sure.
