Great quality camera ( solar powered!)
I now have 3 cameras from ieGeek – all have been very reliable and easy to set up.This camera has great clarity and the spotlights are excellent . The siren is loud when used and is a superb security camera.I love the fact it uses an SD card so I have no need for a subscription with all my history being available to review. The solar charging means I do not have to worry about battery charging and hard wiring so installation is a breeze. Also has AI functionality to set humanoid or animal detection / notifications . With a variation in sensitivity to flex the number of detections it triggers.Very happy customer and pleased to confirm I have found all ieGeek products to be good quality with excellent reliability ( used other items for over a year)My neighbour introduced me to the ieGeek range and likes the camera and will be making his own purchase as a result of my feedback.10/10Remember to buy an SD card and that operation is best on a sun facing wall ( but still works on a north facing wall! )

Such good value for money…..and it works as well as my Arlo camera
Very good build quality, and excellent picture. Easy to install and connect. Installed on 1st December ……havent had to charge the battery yet, and its still going strong every day. A lot of choices in how you want it to work for you…..I get alerts to my phone every time a person walks across the camera field of view.

Great camera and so easy to set up.
This is my 3rd camera from igeek and is by far, the nicest looking. The camera is so easy to install, straight from the box. Scan the camera via the app and once it recognises it, the step by step instructions are easy to follow. Once charged by the supplied USB cable and mounted on the wall, that is pretty much it.I previously had the separate solar panel version but this is so much neater. No worries about recharging due to the inbuilt solar panel and the camera looks far more expensive than is is. The picture and video quality is superb, as is the night vision, very clear pictures. Settings available for motion detection, siren and good sound quality. The app function is very easy to use too. All in all, a great piece of equipment for a very reasonable price.

Good Camera
Having had this now for a few days I’ve got to say build quality looks good. Install is very easy and picture quality is good. My only negative is the speed the app connects to the camera is slow, sometimes it can be upto 30 seconds. My WiFi at the camera is between 75% and 80% so I would say that is ok.The charge function works well and the camera is always 90% mins charge but we do have it on a sunny wall.I would recommend the camera as it looks robust well featured and the price is good. Knocked off 1 star as I think the app connection needs improving in my opinion.

Quite simply a quality outdoor security cam
I’ve got 3 other security cams from the ieGeek brand before and I keep coming back to them. I’ve used other brands for some other properties and either the functionality is not reliable or their longevity when set against the elements is dubious. Often both. Not with ieGeek.I’d wanted a camera for the front porch which I can fit in the eaves and not worry about wiring power to it. This camera fits the bill and is up to their usual quality. Solid build, sensible weatherproofing for the access to the micro SD card and external USB-C socket (should you require the latter). I can’t vouch for how effectively the solar panel will keep this particular unit charged but if this one is anywhere as good as the two other solar cams I have from them, I expect I’ll never have to top up their charge from an external source. I’ve never had to do so over the past to years with the other ones. I’ve attached two screenshots of my other two of their cams simply to show the full battery status as a green symbol at the bottom left of the video feed – and it’s remained like that for two years. Mind you, sensible positioning of the solar panel is required. You need to point the panel where you’ll receive the greatest sunlight (overcast or not). That’ll be south facing.I’m glad to see the install procedure simplifying even more. It’s downloading the app and then taking a picture of the QR code on the camera which will set the whole thing up automatically. It’s then a straightforward case of connecting it to your WIFI router signal. The app is simple enough but contains all the settings you’ll need. Of particular note is the option to either use the incorporated floodlight on motion detection, in which case you get full colour recordings, or opt for night vision recordings without the floodlight. There’s an audio connection from your phone to the unit although I’ve never had a need to use it on any of my earlier units and doubt I’ll do so with this one either – but it’s nice to know it’s there if you need it.The biggest problem with any of these motion detecting cameras is the issue of false positives. I.e. it triggering a recording and notification to your phone when it detects movement that you don’t consider to be something you’d want to worry about. E.g. a cat walking past. That’s where the area selection tool I’ve shown in my video really comes into its own. You have great flexibility in drawing the area you want the camera to monitor whether that’s the full screen or just a specific selection. I’d suggest you play around with this. For example to avoid cats etc setting off the sensor, select a limited area at waist height of a human which will avoid motion below this.A final note which applies to all motion detecting cameras is that their sensors pick up motion much more effectively when it crosses in front of the sensor left to right/right to left rather than movement going up or down straight towards or away from the camera. In summary, I’ve very impressed with this camera and pleased that the installation process has been made simpler. However, IeGeek, please please please bring out companion desktop PC and Mac apps for your cameras! And also can you standardise the motion selection area tool for all of your cameras. At present they use two different systems.

Faulty product
We were looking for a security camera for our garden and after reading the reviews this camera looked ideal but sadly we may have ended up with a faulty one.Setting it up initially seemed easy. I followed the instructions and the camera said it had a “normal” WiFi signal at the place I wanted to install it.So within 15 minutes it was up on the wall. However I then discovered it wouldn’t detect any motion outside of 2 metres. I then spent the next 2 hours faffing around, checking settings, reading things online. I discovered that the WiFi signal strength had to be over 80% for it to work properly. Mine was at 65%. I then spent further time adjusting the signal on my WiFi router, moving the router but no joy.I even took the camera down and placed it next to the router, it went up to 70%.The online help were quick to respond but I had already done most of what they said. There final suggestion was to take a video of the camera and the WiFi strength so an Engineer could get in touch. However by this time I was fed up with it. Why should I need all that help with a brand new camera?Maybe it was a faulty product and the others are fine.Whatever this one is going back.

This camera is the fourth IEGeek security camera I have bought. I already had cameras on my front and back doors and in my heated cat shelter to monitor its usage by strays in the cold. That one is cool because I now take screenshots to show on lost and found pet sites. The presence of the cameras is a deterrent to thieves. However, they can also be helpful in unexpected ways. Last year, I had a dishonest plumber overcharge me for hours worked. After reviewing the footage and submitting screenshots of when he came and left, I forced the plumbing company to adjust the hours they had claimed on the bill, which far exceeded the initial cost of the security cameras! Also, no more stolen deliveries now. I wonder why!Seeing the benefits, I decided to get another one, this time for my garage door, which faces an alley plagued by petty crime. My neighbours had installed a camera in their garage; since then, they have not been robbed or vandalized. There is only one problem: The camera’s installation point is about 90 feet from my house, even further from the router. In addition, several walls and trusses are in the way. I had my doubts that the camera would work at that distance. I decided to give it a go anyway. The camera functioned almost all the way, but not quite. So I decided to try a Wi-Fi extender, and voila, I also have security for my garage now. This afternoon, I ran into my neighbours who opted for a security company, and they told me that they had to install a Wi-Fi extender as well. I was too polite to ask how much they were paying, but we know it was much more than I paid for the one-and-done IeGeek unit. Many think setting up a security camera is not easy, but I found the connection straightforward, involving simple pairing and adjusting preferences on the app. And because I have a West-facing garage, the solar panel will mean I should never have to recharge it. One final thing: Since I had to get up on a ladder in the cold weather to install the unit, I was very grateful for this detail in the mount assembly package. A drill guide sticker with targets for the screws! One app and four security cameras are now paid in full by a dishonest plumber!

I have purchased another version of wireless outdoor camera from ieGeek last summer and really like that product. I put that at the front of the house and now needed one for the back entrance. Found this new version with the built in solar charger so giving it a try.The packaging was nice and camera looks very well built. However it was a lot bigger and heavier than the other one I got. I assume it has a much bigger battery inside.Charged it fully and followed the instructions. Since I had the app already, all I needed to do was add a new device to the app. Took a while to find the power on button, turned out it was inside the flap where you put the micro sd card. I just didnât read the instructions closely haha.Pairing it was so easy and cool. All you needed to do was point the camera to the QR code on the app and that was it.Installation took less than 5 mins. I just find a spot where it will get some sunlight for charging and capture anyone walking up the stairs. Then just use the 4 screws to secure it.The sensors picked up and starts recording right away as soon as you paired it. It didnât like my new sd card and asked me to format it from the app. What a great feature. You can go to live view from the app or view history. Videos are crystal clear and you can zoom in to view closer.I turned off lights and sound as I donât want to scare the neighbours. I also kept it black and white for night mode as I donât want the lights to turn on when recording at night. Itâs captures well at night without lights. You can also set the sensor monitor area and I just set to the staircase so if someone is walking around the backyard it wonât keep recording. The is a great camera that doesnât require any wiring or charging. My other one is also solar charging and it lasted through the snowy and cloudy winter days without needing to take it down for ac charging. It did get down to around 10% but now that the sun is out again, it charged back to 70%.I highly recommended this product!

This is a great security/peace of mind outdoor wireless camera that I highly, highly recommend! A very good deal at this price! The camera has a whole bunch of incredible features (lights, sound, motion detection) and the camera/solar panel seems well-built and sturdy. The app is fairly intuitive too. You can take screenshots of what you are seeing directly in the App (I took a few screenshots with my phone just to show what it would like on a phone for giggles) and it very easy to find videos or screenshots you have saved, sorted by date. You can also turn on lights/sound, adjust video quality, etc…Coming from a Ring Doorbell Battery Plus (1536 p) I didn’t think there would be much of a difference in visual quality, but I was surprised how quickly I could tell the difference! This is not a knock on Ring (and my model is a year and a half old) but obviously, higher pixel quality gives a better picture. I was really impressed with the clarity, even at night! You can zoom in and the quality is great, which is important if you need specific details like license plates for peace of mind. If you go full screen with the camera, you will have intuitive icons to select to record, make sound, etc…and in the case where you don’t need/want as high video quality, you could select SD as well.I have barely scratched the surface in playing with all the features with this camera and App but I’m honestly impressed and I truly don’t think anyone could go wrong with this camera. Solid product from a solid brand and it will do all you need it to do and more. Note that it does not come with an SD card, so be sure to order one with this. You can also subscribe to a cloud service for a reasonable monthly fee for backups, as well.Well done, IEGeek!
