Good looking clock with nanny camera functionality
The Jiyibidi spy camera wall clock is a great piece of kit for home security and for use as a nanny camera. It doesn’t matter how trustworthy someone seems when they are looking after your child alone you want to have a bit of oversight and observe the persons natural behaviours.Yes you could put an overt camera in the room but that modifies their behaviour and doesn’t let you know what they are like when not being watched and you can’t have cameras everywhere in the home.Price is fair and reasonable, it’s simple and easy to setup and it works well. Video quality is great and in my opinion it’s a worthwhile purchase for complete peace of mind.

Camera Does Not Work
I bought this to replace my Yi Eye camera clock that developed faults after several years of relatively good running. This Jiyibidi Spy Camera Wall Clock almost immediately developed more faults than I ever had with Yi Eye, does not operate as it should, and within weeks proved to be less useful than my faulty Yi Eye camera clock. I give the Jiyibidi Spy Camera Wall Clock only one star for the time it keeps, but it is the ugliest and most expensive wall clock that I have ever had the misfortune is purchasing.

Modern minimalist design with good quality hidden camera
There are a multitude of reasons you may want to install a hidden camera in the home, but the most obvious one is for keeping an eye on babysitters / childminders when your away from home.The camera took about 5 minutes to setup and once setup it provided a lovely HD quality image straight to my phone. The camera quality is better than expected and remains great even at night. The remote view feature is brilliant as you can view a live feed t any time whilst still recording onto your SD card on a three minute loop.The camera also features PIR motion detection doubling it up as a security device. Price is about what I think is fair and reasonable for a device of this quality.

Will not buy it again
In terms of presentation, it looks ok. However when it comes to practicality i found some issues1- It comes with a power cable to power the camera which is separate from the two AA batteries needed(you need to buy them separately) for the camera. The cable needs to be connected to an external power source – for product touted for its discrete capability it raises suspicion- this is hardly discreet function itâs advertised with.2- I downloaded the app- set up was straight forward and needs local wifi to work and to Enable remote access. I have attempted to set up remote record function – it works only when you are in tye app- when you navigate away from the app it stops. Itâs annoying3- The instruction manual wasnât user friendly.

Ideal piece of kit!
Great to be able to utilise this in the kids play room. To be able to keep an eye on them without being in the room is magical!Clear images, with the camera angle also being adjustable and very easy to set up.

The security of the person or property in question.
The camera angle it give you is limited. It’s a clock, if you mount it too low, it looks out of place, too high and you’ll need a ladder to maintain it. The camera itself is only slightly adjustable, but not enough for the view I wanted. It’s a tricky setting it up to your phone/tablet, but once you get going it shows a good picture. The only real downside, is the sound quality. There’s a huge amount of distortion and you can barely hear any conversation.

Absolutely useless item with poor picture quality and it doesnât record without internet or app
Mostly that it does not function without internet connection. My mother is 94 living in her home without internet and we have issues with carers therefore I bought this clock but really disappointed.

You’d never know the camera was there
This is a basic looking clock with a secret camera, and if you really didn’t want the camera to be visible, this certainly works. Looking at the clock as in the first couple of pictures the tiny camera lens is hidden away on the numer 1 of the 10 on the dial; even on close inspection it is very difficult to see it.The clock is battery operated, but the security camera is powered by a rechargeable battery. Once the app had been set up on our phones, we get instant picture monitoring alerts when motion is detected.The camera produces images that are very clear, even the night vision images are pretty good. We can add an additional SD card, not provided, to capture images if we were in bed for instance, and our phones are off.The big advantage as far as we can see is this camera certainly wouldn’t be detected, and therefore not deactivated, or even covered up.An easy set up; good picture quality, a very handy device to have, just in case it’s needed; peace of mind; good purchase.
