Fits the original Kindle eReader, thankfully
I’ve got the original Kindle from when Amazon first started selling them and I mislaid my original charging cable so had been using my hubby’s Kindle wire that was very very short which made my Kindle unuseable while it was charging because the lead was so incredibly short. I took a chance and invested in these instead in the hope that they would be long enough for me to actually use my eReader while it was charging up.I’ve just plugged it in and turned it on and it was charging up straight away and the lead is just about long enough for me to read a book while it’s charging up too, which is exactly what I wanted, so they are getting top marks from me!

Good product
I am pleased with these solid-looking charger cables. They plug solidly into my Kindles, whereas some replacement cables are quite unstable. They fit well, whereas some others I have bought have just been the wrong shape even to be plugged into the KIndle at all, despite the fact that they were claimed to be the right size. I haven’t had them long enough yet to comment on their speed or durability. I was a bit disappointed by the time one of them took to charge my mobile phone yesterday, because they look to be thick enough to carry a good charge.

Good Replacement
This replacement charger for Kindle devices arrived quickly. It even fits my 2012 Kindle Fire as well as a new small Kindle. Delighted. It is also longer than the original so can be charged in bed if necessary or where plugs need a longer reach.

The supplied items don’t fit new new Fire
Having purchased a new Fire HD due to a problem will the power connection of my old device. I ordered extra cables only to find that the new device has a larger socket so the supplied cables did not fit.

Everyone has broken
I have bought 2 lots of these charging cables and all have them have broken within a couple of weeks. The metal part that goes into the tablet has broken off everyone. With the first 2 I thought the boys were being rough so I banned them from using the chargers but even for me they have broken off the latest one has broken off in the tablet and been a nightmare to get out the broken parts would not recommend
