This works well on my Nikon
Older cameras like my Nikon D200 lack built in dust cleaning – so without attention, you end up with dust spots that add a lot of time to making a photo ready for printing. The only solution is manual cleaning.Step 1 – is to use a blower (rocket blower) to gently blow off loose dust and debris from the sensor. That fixes it a lot of times – but greasy dust still sticks – so often step 2 is neededStep 2 – Use sensor cleaning swabs specifically designed for APS-C sensors.a – Apply a few drops (2-3 max) of sensor cleaning solution to the swabâdo not oversaturate to avoid streaks.b – Gently swipe the swab across the sensor in one smooth motion from one side to the other with very light pressure.c – Flip the swab and make a second pass in the opposite direction.d – Use a dry swab to remove any remaining residue if necessary.Inspect the sensor with a loupe or magnifying glass between passes to check for dust or smudges. AND – use a new swab for each pass to avoid recontamination. Then finish with another blow of air.So this pack has what is needed – dry swabs of the right size and cleaning fluid.Specifically – 1 – Always match the swab size to your sensor (e.g., APS-C vs. full-frame). Using the correct width ensures efficient and safe cleaning in a single pass. This pack was designed just for the APS sized sensors. AND 2 – note that dry swab design is critical – swabs need a microtexture on the cleaning surface, as this reduces the risk of vacuum seals that could stress sensor coatings. The K&F maker has a good reputation – but as you need perhaps 2 swabs per clean – consider gettting spare swabs. K&F has a great store on Amazon and sells multi-packs of 14 double-ended swabs as well as the “rocket blowers” that all work well for me.OVERALL – I like this kit – and would be happy to get it again. Just consider getting the K&F kit with more swabs as the cleaning solution is enough for near 50 cleans (and that needs 50+ swabs).Delivery was quick – it came the next day which is great service by the store.

Good DIY sensor cleaning kit
Good quality APS-C sensor cleaning kit including 6 swabs and a 20mL bottle of cleaning fluid. I shoot a lot of motorsport with my Nikon D500 and often in dusty conditions so I regularly have to clean my sensor. This kit from K&F Concept is just as good as the other brands I have used over the years and is very good value for money, especially when compared to having a camera shop clean your sensor. So if you’re comfortable doing it yourself this kit is perfect.

SLR Camera Sensor Cleaning solution and 6x Swab sticks. Respected brand.
The K&F Concept branded sensor cleaners for DSLR and Mirrorless digital cameras, where you can remove the lens to access the sensor, are all individuallky sealed, and fro a brand that is generally respected in the camera world as being ok quality. The swabs have a good length shaft so you dont have to put your fingers inside the camera body, and the small bottle of cleaning fluid heps to soften the swab and with debris removal.Of course its not the sort of cleaning job you hope to risk doing with a DSLR, and the mirros seals the sensor, but mirrorless its more likely, and if you need too, then best to have the right stuff, not a cloth and finger! For £11 (May ’25) you get 6 individually vacuumed sealed swabs and the little bottle of cleaner – whihc should easily do more than 6 swabs use, and separate packs of just the 6 x swabs are available for a little bit less money, so this kit seems ok value imo.

Must have for cleaning your cam
+ well-made+ a lot of swabs, so it’s not like you’re going to use just one+ nice color combination+ swabs are high quality and long enough to clean APS-C sensors- no manual in the box

Good Cleaning
I have used similar kits before to get bits of dust from my SLR sensor. There are no instructions in the box or on the Amazon listing,so I guess it is assumed you either know how to do it, or will find a source of info online. The fluid is a mild solvent – although they don’t specify which one it is.The swabs are like thick / firm tissue paper, but they are designed to have no dust or lint left behind.I usually blow the CCD initially with a blower.Add a few drops of the solvent to the swab. Then 1, 2, or 3 swipes along the CCD.Then test the camera by photographing a bright subject with a small aperture (eg. f/11).Make sure to set the lens focus at infinity. If there are no more dust spots, then you are all done.If there are more spots to clean, then repeat the process. Many people say you should only swipe along the CCD once with each swab.I have had success swiping 2 or 3 times, and you save on costs that way.Be careful… Your CCD is very sensitive, easy to damage, and very expensive to replace !!Price for this kit seems about right.

Good quality
These are useful I’ve used them before to clean the dust spots off my camera sensor, but you need to be careful that you don’t damage the sensor or shutter that needs to be held open. However it is much cheaper than sending your camera off to be professionally cleaned. But it does have risks. You get 6 sterile pads on sticks (foil sealed) for wiping your sensor and one bottle of cleaning fluid.
