Fantastic product, does the job
Absolutely fantastic product. I was a bit dubious with the cheap price compared to some other products I’ve seen, ie a kodak scanner, but it does the job. Very easy to use, free to use and no subscriptions. It’s lovely to see older generations photos and really brings back lovely memories. Really made up with this.

Excellent value and easy to use.
This is surprisingly good for the cost, and really easy to use. The pictures will be as good as the camera on your phone – though its easy to resize them online if you need to. Delivered quickly.Thank you so much and I loved the fun of the info in the box!

great little device
i got this to digitise slides from the 60s left by my grandparents. as you can see they turned out quite well and the device was easy to use. its allowing me to save and share a part of my families history its already been more than worth the price and ive only done a handful of slides. if your looking for a simple cost effective way to convert slides or negative id recommend this

Not fit for purpose if you have an iPhone 15
This is extremely misleading as it CANNOT be used with an IPhone 15 and possibly other iPhones. I did notice someone with an iPhone 13 also had the same issue. The platform is simply too close to the slide and hence the resultant image is totally blurred. In order to achieve the correct focal length you need to place the box (60mm tall) that the âscannerâ came in on top of the stage and voila a perfectly focused image. The problem with that is this now make shift platform is not sturdy and not perfectly parallel and so defeats completely the reason for spending my hard earned cash on the system in the first place. You shouldnât have to âHeath Robinson itâ to get a result that is advertised within the product description and the included instructions. Maybe this was developed for very old iPhones as they even provide the ability to bring the stage even closer to the slide box. As for the free software, you get better results and editing options with the iPhone camera app. Essentially the only thing that works is the light bulb that illuminates the slide. Also, the ârecessâ for the 35mm slide, it does not secure the slide in any fashion whatsoever. This purchase was a complete waste of time and effort and now I need to start all over again to find a product that does what it says on the tin.

Nice simple gadget, good results
Inexpensive product which works well. Simple concept – and stand to mount a phone above an illuminated window such that you can rake photos of the slide thus displayed. The documentation suggest you should use their App to scan the slides, but it comes with an expensive subscription so I didn’t use it, and got good results with the phone utilities. We’ll worth the money.

Worksâ¦. Ish
Sort of works, it can take a photo of a negative and a slide, but the negatives all have a strong blue tone that the software doesnât remove and the slides are all blurred at one end, for some reason. Also, the light keeps flashing on and off or is off altogether as the battery connector doesnât work very well.If you have a negative that you really need a picture of, it will do the job, but you will need better software to get a decent picture of it.

Excellent piece of kit
My wife recently lost her younger brother under tragic circumstances and her father had given her a lot of slides of family photos.Unable to view them clearly, I ordered the KLIM K2 Film Scanner. It arrived the very next day, by a very helpful delivery guy, who rescued our wheelie bin in the high winds. The scanner was easy to setup and we were quickly scanning and sharing the family photos, with her other brother.Nice touches, were that it came with a cleaning cloth and batteries.Highly recommended.

Great mini, portable lightbox with an adequate phone stand & a slightly annoying app.
The key information is that this is a solid, well made little device and it comes in very nicely packaged. The base is a mini lightbox for 35mm film and mounted slides. Film can be fed through a slot and individual mounted slides can be placed in a little holder that sits above the film feeder. This part of it gets five stars. The part that gets four stars is the phone platform that sits over the lightbox. The device comes with a choice of two sets of legs of different heights to hold the phone platform. This is to accommodate phones that focus at different minimum distances, I think. The only problem is that while this platform is quite solid, it’s not rock solid, so care needs to be taken to avoid camera shake. Probably best to use the self timer in the supplied app to release the shutter. The app itself is OK, if a little fiddly to use in my experience. Also, it tries to upsell various add-on features and pops up mini ads from time to time. When photographing slides, I think I’d prefer to use the Android camera app and I don’t think I’d try to digitize a large collection of images using this set-up. That said, its key feature is its portability: you can take it anywhere to copy a few images from slides / film strips belonging to friends etc. Perhaps a future version will provide a rock-solid phone platform, ideally, that would be one with adjustable-height legs and a clamp to hold the phone in place (the provided magnet didn’t work with my phone and phone case). Hope the above didn’t sound negative. The device is well made and worth the money for the lightbox alone and I suspect that I shall use it mainly as such (i.e. without the phone stand) and simply place it under a camera on a copy stand.

It’s easy to set up and use but the pictures when scanned from a negative film gets a weird blue hue so they need alot of retouching
