Sharp cutting edges made of induction hardened, special tool steel
The Knipex Electronic Super Knips is manufactured from special tool steel and polished.
The cutting edges are ground with a very small bevel for almost flush cutting of even hard wire and are induction hardened to approx 64 HRC.
Accurately cut fine wires, e.g. that are touching enclosures and components, thanks to precision tips.
Work involving dexterity: low weight and smooth operation
Great dexterity is needed when working on electronic components and in precision mechanics.
Due to its frictionless handle spring, the Knipex Electronic Super Knips 78 81 125 is so smooth-running that energy can be metered out very precisely – with dexterity. Opening spring and opening restrictor simplify work further.

They broke already…
I had high hopes for these Knipex cutters. Well, Knipex does have a reputation to uphold. These cutters broke while cutting copper wire, just about on the first job that I asked of them, so I suspect that they weren’t hardened and tempered as they should have been. The parent metal looks very grainy and they broke where the blade is bent. Perhaps the bend is a high stress area, but you would think that the whole assembly would have been normalised/annealed before final hardening and tempering…but apparently not. I have used Knipex products for most of my working life with no problems, but I feel this has put a dent in our relationship. Irreconcilable differences, so to speak…Time to shop for a new brand, me thinks.

Not the best
I have had a few pairs of these snips now, my first pair I replaced as they were getting blunt from a lot of use. The second pair went stiff (wouldnât spring back), third pair snapped and my most recent ones have also gone stiff, I tried to use oil to loosen them up but it was not effective. I donât cut much more than cable ties with them. I have since gone down a different route for my cutters which is a shame because Iâve always been a fan of knipex

Très bonne pince d’une qualité digne de la marque.Achetée pour couper les fils de mes résistances de vape.Très bien emballée par Amazon.La tête est un peu grasse (huile) à la réception, ce qui garantit qu’elle ne soit pas grippée ou piquée par l’oxydation.Une photo jointe avec une souris à coté pour vous faire une idée de sa taille.

Sulla qualità niente da criticare, ma il prezzo sembra eccessivamente alto. In fin dei conti sono formate da due pezzetti di lamiera stampati. Ne ho un altro paio che costano poco più della metà e sono fatte di metallo forgiato e lavorate di macchina. Hanno tutto un altro aspetto. Però la durezza della knipex sembra essere superiore. Con entrambe ho tagliato (un solo taglio) un filo di acciaio inox di 1,5 mm. (!) In queste non è rimasta traccia sui taglienti. Nelle altre è rimasta una piccolissima tacca visibile controluce su uno dei due taglienti. Entrambe tagliano senza problemi filo di ferro di 1,2 mm. Queste dichiarano una durezza Rockwell C di 64, le altre non dichiarano niente in merito e si limitano a dire che sono fatte in acciaio al cromo vanadio. Il che può significare tutto o niente.
