To ensure the best possible photo quality, make sure to insert the photo paper correctly into the printer. Always insert the blue quality card from the same package of photo paper that is in the printer. The blue card should be placed in the paper tray with the barcode facing down. If you use a blue card from other paper packs, you may not get the best results.
The quality of the photos can also depend on the lighting conditions at the shooting location. This may affect the saturation of the image after printing.
If a paper jam occurs, be sure to turn the printer off and on again. This should cause the paper to be thrown out. Don’t pull out the paper with your hand.

Easy to use, picture quality not brilliant but perfectly fine
Easy to use and connect to mobile app. Itâs about the same size as a small portable hard-drive, and lightweight.
Picture quality is great, not brilliant but perfectly fine for a relatively cheap mini photo printer. If youâre looking for something that prints top quality photographs, then a printer that uses non-zinc paper, like ones made by Canon would be better, though they are pricier.
To place the photo paper in:
Slide back off the printer and place the paper in with the blue calibration card first facing down and then the photo paper on top (back facing down – ie. plain white side facing up)
App is downloadable on the AppStore using the QR code found in the quick start guide. There are several other Kodak apps, so make sure itâs the Kodak Step Prints app.
NB: if you donât have the QR code to hand, then simply connect to the printer via Bluetooth via your mobile settings (press and hold power button on the side of printer until white light shows) and it will take you to the AppStore link.
Charges via USB, but no plug adapter is included, so will either need to plug directly into a USB charge socket, or use any other plug adapter (phone, camera etc) that has a USB port.
Canât speak for Android, but have had no problems connecting to the app using iOS. There size of the photos are 2×3, so may need to edit photos, but can do so easily in the app which has a useful indicator of what will be printed. There are other editing tools within the app and the ability to add borders too. Also included with the pack are five sticky borders that you can stick onto the photo.
Very pleased with this so far! Only downside is that there are only five photos sheets included so will need to purchase more!

Still going strong several months later – occasionally a thin line will appear on the prints. If this happens, just recalibrate the device with the calibration card.
Also, the printer will take any 2×3 zinc paper so it doesnât have to be the Kodak stuff. Only thing to note here is that youâll need to keep the original blue Kodak calibration card as the other cards (i.e. Canon do not work).

Really easy to use
I did a bit of research on these mini printers, and Iâm really pleased with my purchase of this one. Easy to set up & use; small, compact & light. I print a photo out each month to put in my diary, and the quality is great for that. The photos are mini but isnât that the point?! Great set if you want to make your own little photo cards for people too. Battery seems to last longer than other reviewers have experienced, but doesnât take long to charge either anyway.

Super little printer
Bit of a long review. Bought this to print off photos I have taken to create a memory book for my nieces and nephew when we have been out together. Image and colour quality is great for a little printer. Set up was easy, I did initially struggle until I realised I had downloaded wrong app! Once that was fixed, my phone and printer connected straight away. Easy to put the print paper in, make sure to keep hold of the blue carbon paper as this will be needed at times for calibration.
Some brilliant features on the app to really make your pictures stand out I havent looked at them all yet. The bundle package is brilliant, case holds the printer and charging cable comfortably, comes with a strap to carry. Came with pack of paper backgrounds you can put your photos onto, just peel off the backing paper and place on background. Also different packs of stickers for different occasions. This would make a perfect present for someone who loves scrapbooking or crafts. The prints come out 2x3cm which are lovely to fit in a wallet or small photo frames. Overall very happy with my purchase. Well worth it’s money.

Absolutely love this little machine.
I will enjoy printing photos out with my little granddaughter and making some scrapbooks with her.
It is so easy to use, set up and connect to your phone/tablet. No ink needed as it all in the paper.
Photos are really good quality, I was lucky enough to get the pink one, on kodak site there is a wait of 3-5months delivery for the pink one.
Very happy with the product, service and prompt delivery.

Iâve had to come back and edit my review after printing only ten pics over a six month period the printer developed a jab it of putting a line down every photo in the same place and not printing the top 5 mm of photo leaving a white line at the top, no amount of trouble shooting fixed it, the Color scale also was off after only a few prints Kodak is unable to be contacted Amazon kindly refunded and allowed me to return due to this so I do t recomend anymore
So for the price I didnât expect miracles but I did my research and this was rated higher than the sprocket and ivy. The size is small a little cheap feeling being all plastic. Is easy to use and the apps simple uses micro usb to charge which is a bit annoying as itâs another cable to store, comes with only 5 prints in box so order extra paper. Prints fairly quick only down side is whites look yellow due to the glossy film the prints are a little on the dull or dark side so play with the Colorâs and settings to brighten up, the clarity isnât as sharp as Iâd like but this isnât a top end printer itâs fine for what I want for making labels for Yoto cards and printing little pics,
Running costs are fairly cheap approx 45 to 50p a print so cheaper than the sublimation printers by Polaroid.
I previously had a pogo that I loved but it died fairly after a year or so of use this is better prints and a lighter model and smaller

Die Bilder dieses Druckers sind preisgünstig (zwischen 40 und 50 Cent das Stück) und klasse – vorausgesetzt, man verwendet das Original Kodak-Zink -Papier.
Mit Papier-Produkten von Fremdherstellern gibt es meist Probleme (Papier-Stau).
Für den täglichen Gebrauch sollte man eine Powerbank anschlieÃen: ohne diese kommen meist nur 20 bis 30 Fotos, dann ist der Akku mausetot.
Der jeweilige Print wird durch eine App (gratis) gesteuert und braucht ca 45 Sekunden.
Der groÃe Vorteil dieses Druckers: er ist klein, ausreichend schnell, und man braucht vor allem keine zusätzlichen Druckerpatronen, die zusätzlich ins Geld gehen (wie bei Canon, HP oder Liene).
Die Farben sind angemessen okay, bisher hatte ich keine Schlieren/ Blaulicht oder sonstige EinbuÃen.
Ganz im Gegenteil: Schwarz-Weiss-Drucke erreichen bei diesem Drucker mit dem Original-Papier fast (aber wirklich nur: fast!) die Qualität von Leica-Fotographien. (Wenn man eine Polaroid-Snap von 2018 hat, die ein echter Hybrid war, und die mit diesem Kodak-Papier füttert und in Schwarzweià ausdrucken… dann kann der Eindruck entstehen, tatsächlich ein Leica-Foto vor sich zu haben: Kontrast/ Sättigung etc. sind Spitze!)
Der Preis geht völlig in Ordnung: echte Polaroids sind zwar in einem groÃen Format – jedoch 8 Bilder für 20⬠ist schon abartig. Instax-Square sind im Vergleich dazu schon deutlich günstiger (20 Stück für ca. 18 â¬). Diese Kodak-Zink kosten um die 14 ⬠(Stand 05/ 2024) für 20 Stück.
Bei all diesen Filmprodukten lohnt es sich zu fragen, wozu man diese Sofortbild-Technologie wirklich braucht: die Idee, sie bei einer Hochzeit einzusetzen erscheint süss; doch das Hantieren mit der Technik kann dann auch nervig sein.
Ich verwende sie meist bei Streetfotografie, wenn jemand (zusammen mit meiner Visitenkarte) ein Foto von der Szenerie haben will . Dafür sind die kleinen Bildchen gut geeignet.
Für eher künstlerische Fotos benutze ich das Instax-Square Format auf unterschiedlichen Kameras (mein daily driver ist die alte Fuji SQ-10, ein Top-Hybri) , die Lomo Diana-F oder entsprechende Gratis-Foto-Apps für Android oder IOS: für diese kommt ein Instax-Square-Drucker zum Einsatz. )
Beim Kauf der Filme (egal in welcher Technologie) sollte man die benötigte Menge beachten: Packs mit 30 oder 60 oder 100 Bildern sind oft sehr viel günstiger im Preis als eine kleine Packung.

Brought this for my 12 year old daughter to start journaling and what a fantastic product. Easy to set up with the app and the print quality was far better than I expected from other reviews. Does the job perfectly. Super happy with this, it only arrived a couple of hours ago but itâs already printed about 20 pictures and they look fab! Would recommend!
