[ Automatic Testing Tool ]: RJ45 tester quickly tests the connectivity of network signals. LEDs indicate if cables are correctly connected and if pairs are crossed or open. Use it to easily test network cables whether you are in home, office building or data center.

[ Easy Operation ]: The master unit and the remote unit can be separated to detect long distances of network cables. It also runs the test at two different speeds. The “On” mode is faster, while the “S” mode makes it easier to see the problem wires. The G light can be used to detect whether the cable is shielded or not.
[ Lightweight and Portable ]: The rj45 cable tester is made of ABS plastic for durability, breakage resistance and fire resistance. The handle is medium sized and easy to carry. Note: one 9V battery is required (not included). If you do not need to use the tester for a while, please remove the battery.

Needed to check if a ethernet cable was live – this worked a treat – instructions were not great too technical and not written in good English but otherwise a cheap and easy to use bit of kit
Good cable. BUT Cable not sold on a reel. Took 2 hrs to un tangle cable in loft .should be sold on a reel. –

Helped me with getting the wiring right. Leave one end connected downstairs whilst your read the signal upstairs. Flashes in a clear sequence (2 speeds) so you can work out crossed wires too.Feels cheap buts works really well.

Great for DIY network cabling
Excellent little tester. Helped me sort out my through the wall cabling. Showed pairs missing or crossed and checked earth on cat 7. Saved me alot of time and frustration. For the price it’s great. For a casual installer it’s a no brainer. You do have to supply your own PP7 battery.
