Excellent webcam
Was torn between this model, the 930e, and the venerable 920. After much research, I chose the 930 primarily as the colour/image looked better in most of the YouTube reviews. So glad I went for the 930. Looks sleek in silver, with white LEDs and works beautifully with my ageing MacBook Pro (2015). Webcam Settings app sorts out the adjustments beautifully (£7 on App Store).Itâs the wide angle lens that makes all the difference – plus you can narrow the view as needed. Finally, feels very well made and was a doddle to set up. Deserves fully 5 stars.

I bought this item 5 years ago and it has served me well.

If you own the QC 9000 or the C910, then the 930e is a terrific upgrade
I have been using webcams (in anger) for the better part of five years, especially with my focus on telepresence robotics and video conferencing. And the 930e is the first upgrade from the QuickCam Pro 9000 that I am really crowing about.Compared to the 9000, you have the 1080 and the greater viewing angle (all due to the fish-eye lens) and a much higher resolution and low light performance. When comparing the 910 directly with the 930e, the same resolution issues are evident – facial features are crisper, colors are more natural and the auto-focusing is incredibly useful. And, the new mount works exceptionally well with a center mount where I place the 930e directly in front of the monitor to give better eye contact. Is it worth the increased price? If you have a 9000 or C910, then I would say yes. But for those 920 folks out there – you will have to decide for yourselves. And I have found the microphones excellent, but I use my own AT2020 mic for better audio pickup.

Nothing Bad To Say At All!
From reading other reviews, it looks like I purchased this webcam for a slightly different reason than other peeps. Rather than work Zoom calls, I wanted the C930-E so I could use it for Discord calls with friends. I have a desktop microphone, so I really just needed the Webcam for video as my desktop hasn’t got a camera. As the title suggests, I haven’t experienced any issues with the webcam at all! Setup was incredibly easy, you literally plug it in and you’re ready to go. It even comes with a handy detachable window/screen/flap thingy that you can flip down over the camera if you’d like to cover it and give yourself privacy. The quality of the camera is fantastic, and I feel like any limitations to the quality will come from your own personal internet speeds rather than the webcam itself. I’ve used it to talk to folks multiple times, and haven’t received any complaints. All in all, 100% satisfied!

Great external webcam for MacBook pro
I got this webcam as an alternative to the built in camera to my MacBook. It is very easy to set up (plug and play) and works great with Skype. attaches via USB2Image quality is superb and clear. The camera clips on top of the screen, a light notch may be visible for edgeless screens, but this is not an issue. The mount also has a standard screw thread fitting so it can be attached to a tripod if you want to do blogs or other video type presentations.I like how the camera comes with a little privacy screen that covers the lens when not in use.To camera settings can be set up through a separate free app / bit of software that can be downloaded from the app store (might be different on PC). The only downside is that this app needs to be running for the settings to be applied, but this is not a mayor issue, I have it next to my Skype icon in my app bar.

Nice unit but you need more control over the picture quality
There is no doubt that the picture quality that you can get from this unit is very good, but it would be better if you had more control over the picture quality level.I tested this in the office with Lync, and could see it was sending a nice HD video to the other party. The auto focus is fast – if you hold up A4 paper with writing on it, the other party can read it. Using NetMeter I could see it was uploading at around 450 KB/s.At home on Skype, I called my family in Australia from London. On NetMeter I could see it was uploading at 850 KB/s or more. Unfortunately I think it overwhelmed their computer or perhaps internet connection since it froze a number of times for long periods. They said the picture was very clear though. What I really need is a way of setting a maximum picture quality target – say 720p instead of 1080p. Or perhaps setting a maximum upload bandwidth, and letting it sort out the best quality it can do within that budget. Some of my family have satellite internet – data is very expensive. So it would be good to throttle the quality for them too.So unfortunately I might have to revert back to my old Logtecht QuickCam Pro 9000.I do like the privacy cover that comes with it though, once you clip it on, you just have to lift up the flap when you want to use the webcam.

Great Product Slightly complex full set up
It really is a great product. I am a spine surgeon Zooming patients so clarity is important. The setup is simple but the full setup is a little more complex and could be simplified. So far – delighted. It has a security cover which is reassuring so the FBI can not peek in !!!! Enjoy better family Zooms with the wide-angle lens facility. The microphone and recording seem rather good so far but I will test this further with patients and family. I know it is a pricey spend but so far it seems worth it. The image is so balanced and the depth of field impressive. I hope that you enjoy it in these difficult times

All the reviews I read on-line said this was the latest and greatest. As described it came in a brown Logitech box versus their standard green, white and black consumer packaging. Honestly I like the brown box. Opened it up, plugged it into a USB extension cord into a USB 3.0 port of my computer running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Windows recognized the C930 correctly, installed the necessary drivers and boom, video using Skype. I downloaded the two programs from the Logitech website – one checks the firmware (it came with the latest version) and another that I can not remember. The webcam does give you a wide view so my wife tightened it up using Skype and left the rest of the settings at default. This is in a room with mixed light (daylight and CFL on desk) and I found the colors to be fairly accurate, maybe a touch blue, Autofocus seemed to function properly, but then it is set up on the desk, I originally had it on the top edge of the monitor. Surprisingly, the mount worked well considering it was a friction fit. I can not say how time would affect the stand’s ability to stay tight against the back of the monitor since my wife did not like the view which showed the bookcases on the opposite wall. So now it sits in front of the monitor on a one level stand that the monitor is on. Its is a 27″ 16×9 Benq so it was a bit high and my wife likes the image better with the webcam set lower.Audio is acceptable, a bit thin but I am too lazy to break out my Sennhieser lapel mic out and go crazy with the adapters to get the XLR down to mini for plugging into the computer. Plus I need to keep it simple for my wife to use for business. Bottom line the 930e is about $30 more expensive than the C920 but is a year newer model. Is it worth the extra money? I do not know, but it does use the latest H264 video standards and other reviews seem to think so.

VLC bietet u.a.
