The absolute best non âAppleâ keyboard thatâs available on Amazon
There is a reason Apple started stocking this in their official stores (at least I saw it there a few months ago). This is my second purchase, this time for my girlfriend. Reasons I think itâs a great product is that it shares important features with the official product that I didnât see in the other Amazon alternatives.:1. Works seamlessly2. It has âsmart connectâ. I donât think I saw this feature in any other keyboards here. This means you donât have to âpairâ it with your keyboard via Bluetooth to use it. Just slot it in and it works.3. It is not powered by its own internal battery but runs from the iPad. This means you donât have to worry about the charge on the keyboard running out when you need it or need to carry ANOTHER charger with you. If your iPad is charged this works. And in my experience it doesnât drain the battery from the iPad in any noticeable way. It obviously uses iPad battery but it doesnât make iPad somehow last significantly shorter before needing to recharge.Other useful features:1. The shell and the keyboard can be detached. So if you donât need the keyboard simply pull the iPad half off to watch it in bed or on a table. Reconnect by snapping back on with a magnet.2. The kick stand at the back is great for adjusting the angle. Comfortable for working/watching either when working or consuming media.3. Track pad and keys work well and the keys are back lit.4. Very robust shell. When the keyboard is attached it feels quite protective. Adds a bit of bulk but as expected. It becomes a mini computer.5. The little Apple Pencil holder is useful even if you donât have the pencil. The little tab makes opening the iPad easier. You can even go rogue and use it for your own pen or pencil (youâre such a rebel!)6. Can often get for a good price on sale but itâs worth it at full price too if you are looking for a robust product.The above is based on the keyboard I got for myself. The second one for my girlfriend was only recently attached, should there be any issues Iâll update.

Beautifully made, fits superbly, functions smoothly, enhances and protects my iPad. Very pleased. It may be a bit pricey- but quality like this and peace of mind is worth it. If youâre a serious user of your iPad this product is well worth consideration.

Good sturdy keyboard case for half the magic price
A good quality smart looking case and keyboard at half the price of what Apple charges, but not much more than the cheaper ones available on Amazon that need charging. It does have some weight to it but thatâs as expected given it is additional tech. This keyboard connects to the iPad like the Apple one, rather than Bluetooth. The multi function of having the keyboard on/off and the stand works horizontally or vertically is great. Only just arrived but first impressions are good.
