Solid Large-Screen Laptop With Great Features â But Some Rough Edges
Iâve been using this LONGEVINCE 17.3-inch laptop daily for 2.5 weeks now, and Iâve had enough time with it to really get a feel for how it performs day to day. There are definitely some strong positivesâespecially with the large screen and useful featuresâbut also a few drawbacks that hold it back from being a completely smooth experience.Out of the box, the laptop was well-packaged and securely boxed, just as youâd expect. Initial setup was quick and straightforward. It powered up swiftly, connected to Wi-Fi easily, and the fingerprint sensor was ready to go straight away. That part worked really well and continues to be a smooth, fast way to log in.Where things falter slightly is with the touchpad. Itâs not very responsive when clickingâespecially the left-click, which feels clunky and sometimes doesnât register. Because of that, Iâve been using the included mouse, which works nicely and makes navigation much smoother. For day-to-day tasks like browsing, using Office apps, WhatsApp, and YouTube, the laptop handles things fine. Video playback is crisp, and the 17.3-inch display is genuinely impressiveâbright, sharp, and with good viewing angles. The 180° hinge gives some extra flexibility if you want to lay it flatter on a surface. However, performance takes a hit when multitasking. Running a YouTube video while launching Excel, for example, caused noticeable lag, and sometimes the system just froze up. So while the i5 processor and 16GB RAM sound promising, real-world multitasking does expose some limitations. One bigger issue is with Windows updates. The laptop came with Windows 11 Pro and Office 2019 pre-installedâboth activated and working well. But Windows wonât install a key update because it says TPM 2.0 is missing or disabled. I checked the BIOS (American Megatrends) but couldn’t find any TPM options at all. Windows flags this as a security risk, and not being able to install the update could become a long-term problem if itâs never resolved.Build quality is okay, though not perfect. It looks good at first glance, but the top surface scratches easily, and oddly enough, a screw fell out from the bottom after just one day of use. I hadnât tampered with it, so it mustâve been loose from the factory. I tightened it myself and itâs held since, but it was definitely surprising. The keyboard typing experience is fine. But hereâs something to be aware ofâthe laptop comes with a rubber keyboard cover with a UK layout, but underneath, the physical keyboard is actually US layout. So keys like the â@â symbol arenât where you’d expect if you’re used to UK keyboards. Itâs a strange mismatch and could be annoying if you touch type or rely on standard UK key positioning. On the connectivity side, everything works: Wi-Fi 6, USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, Bluetoothâno issues there. The USB ports are a little stiff, possibly just because itâs new. I also tried connecting it to my USB docking station (which I use to run two monitors, keyboard, speakers, and printer through a single cable), but it didnât function properlyâeverything was connected, but it ran extremely slowly, making it unusable in that setup.Battery life is decent but nothing remarkable. I do find myself reaching for the charger more often than expected, but it recharges at a reasonable speed. Lastly, the webcam has a privacy shutter, which works wellâyou just slide it across to cover the lens completely. In summary: This is a feature-packed laptop with a big, vibrant screen and handy extras like fingerprint login and pre-installed Office. Itâs been reliable for lighter tasks and basic use, but Iâve run into performance issues under pressure and a few odd build quirksâlike the mismatched keyboard layout and that unexpected loose screw. Most concerning is the Windows update issue due to the missing TPM 2.0, which could limit future functionality and security. If youâre confident around tech and just need a big-screen laptop for casual use, it could suit you. But for anyone needing a more polished or futureproof experience, this might feel like a compromise.

Solid performance and big screen. suitable for watching video.
This laptop has been great so far. The 17.3″ screen is large and clear, perfect for work and watching videos. Performance is smooth with the i5 processor and 16GB RAM. It starts up fast, runs quietly, and the fingerprint unlock is a nice touch. Overall, a great choice for daily use at a fair price.

Impressive performance and large screen for the price.
I bought this laptop mainly for work and streaming, and it’s exceeded my expectations. The 17.3″ screen is bright and clear, perfect for multitasking and watching videos. The i5 processor and 16GB RAM make it run very smoothly, even with multiple tabs and programs open.I also like the fingerprint unlock feature â it’s fast and convenient. The build feels solid, and the keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions. Startup is quick, and the overall performance is great for everyday productivity. For this price point, itâs hard to find a large-screen laptop with these specs. Highly recommended for students, remote workers, or anyone who needs a reliable laptop for home use.
