Customers say
Customers find the thermostat works well and is well-made. However, the temperature control and accuracy receive mixed feedback – while some say it provides good control, others report incorrect readings, and while some find it accurate, others mention it’s impossible to calibrate. The ease of use also gets mixed reviews, with some finding it simple to use while others note the instructions are vague.

Very good plug in thermostat
I bought this plug in thermostat to regulate the temperature output of a quartz free standing heater, in my lounge during very cold weather and it works very effectively. Once you master the setup of the ‘offset’ (calibration) temperature setting; which is clearly explained in the instructions it works well.

Good, but let down by instructions
You have to initially calibrate this unit to match the temperature of the room you are using it in to make it work accurately. This is where the instructions are a bit vague.Itâs simple once you realise what they are trying to explain to you. What you have to do to calibrate the device is:1. Plug it into a wall socket (which is left turned on throughout calibration). Using the centre button turn on the device turn it on and make a note of the displayed temperature reading (this will be the uncalibrated room temperature).2. Get a 2nd thermometer and leave near the device until the temperature stabilises. Make a note of this reading.3. Take the reading from 2nd thermometer and note it down.4. Work out the difference in temperature between the units (uncalibrated reading) and the reading you took on the 2nd thermometer (actual room temperature).5. Switch off the display on the device (using centre button). Then press the + and – minus buttons at the same time until and hold until the 9 degrees is displayed. All you need to do to make the temperature the same as your 2nd thermometer is to use the + or – buttons to enter the difference in temperature. If the 2nd thermometer was reading 3 degrees hotter than the display on the device , repeatedly tap the + key to add 3 degrees. Then turn off the display (centre button). Turn it back on again and it should display the current room temperature. If it is still not quite right repeat the above procedure until the reading from 2nd thermometer and the device read the same.If all of the above sounds complicated, just read through it a few times and it will all make sense.Once you have calibrated the device, using it is dead simple. Plug it into a wall socket, switch on wall socket, switch on device using centre button, then use + or – key to set the temperature you want it to turn on / off.One tip (that nearly caught me out), if say your heater is working and you want to drop the temperature by a couple of degrees by pressing the – button, there is a lag of a few seconds before the heater will actually switch off.Hope this helps you calibrate your device. Its really good once itâs set up and it works well.

Simple but effective thermostat.
Simple and very easy to use, just plug in and go! Currently doing a good job keeping the frost away from my bikes in the garage.

This plug is not worth purchasing as instructions are inadequate and does not work
The plug arrived quickly and was well packed. The instructions were in English but obviously written by someone with poor knowledge of the language suggesting that English was not their own language. The instructions were pathetic, not comprehensive and totally inadequate. The instructions suggested when plugged in would show the current room temperature. The plug indicated a temperature of around 20 degrees when the room thermostat recorded a reading of 2 degrees. This immediately suggested that the plug was faulty. The minimum temperature was set at 5 degrees ( this plug would not allow setting the temperature any lower!) The next morning on checking the potting shed the heater had not been switched on by this plug, the temperature in the potting shed had dropped to minus 3 degrees and several key plants had obviously been killed off by the low temperature.I would not recommend this plug as it is apparent quality control at this company is non existent!

This is really very good
Works extremely well and is very accurate

Average at best when you eventually get it calibrated and working!
Ridiculously vague instructions supplied by manufacturer! Calibration near impossible to determine if you are actually setting the temperature calibration as it seems stuck at 15 deg C when Greenhouse max min thermometer right next to it shows 16.6 deg C even after half an hour itâs not moved from 15. Easy to set the turn on trigger temperature but what use is that if the unit isnât accurately recording temperature?Waste of money and will be returning it tomorrow as it is not accurate!

Easy install , accurate results
I use this to control heating in my greenhouse, It works well , I also have a separate thermometer in there and the two show the same temperature so Id say its also accurate
