While it doesnât have all the advanced functions youâd expect from a professional-grade unit, it covers exactly what I require for occasional use.Every so often, I need to replace an RJ45 (8P8C) connector when one gets damaged or when I need a custom cable length. In the past, I would pull out my ohmmeter and tediously check continuity on all eight wires after crimping the connectors. With this tester, that step is now quick and simple. It confirms whether the pairs are correctly and securely connected, saving me both time and frustration.The smart indicator display is straightforward to read, and setup couldnât be easierâjust plug in the cable and let it run through the sequence. The compact size makes it easy to store in a drawer, and the build feels durable enough for casual use. Considering I make an unreasonable amount of network cables for someone who isn’t in the networking profession, this Mcbazel Network Cable Tester for RJ45/RJ11 is extremely helpful.Not having to make the wire, run the wire from point A to B, only to find I donked it up is extremely helpful. It takes a 9v battery and cycles through the cable to detect any issues. Simple but effective!

Decent little tester for do it yourself but it falls short on testing POE equipment. A lot of times in the field you have a cable connected to POE equipment and you need to test, this tester wouldn’t be able to do this, but everywhere else it shines. The price point really brings it home too. Need a extra tester for non poe cable, then this is for you.
