Good colour saturation and can be controlled via Smart Life app or Alexa…
These bulbs come in a plain brown cardboard box and inside youâll find 2x bulbs and a user manual.The first thing I noticed is that the bulbs where slightly bigger than any other G9 bulb Iâve seen before as they are 1.8cm in diameter. Luckily, they did fit where I needed them, but I assume the slightly larger size is to do with the extra electronics inside for this to be a smart bulb. They do fit into a standard size G9 socket, itâs the size of the bulb area that is slightly larger than standard G9 bulbs. The bulbs feel well built with solid construction, but I find it odd that they have put the CE printing over the plastic housing of the LEDs as it hides a few of the LEDs at the bottom. I didnât notice any loss of light though as the other LEDs are more than bright enough anyway.The bulbs were easy to connect to my 2.4Ghz wireless network via the Smart Life app. Since I already use Smart Life for a few other bulbs, it gave these bulbs the Wi-Fi network and they automatically connected up. Connectivity to Alexa was easy as you add the Smart Life app in the Alexa software and then you can control them with Alexa with your voice. You can also then setup routines and timers via Alexa or just via the Smart Life app if desired. The bulbs can change to any colour, and they have a good colour saturation which can produce some vivid colours, or even more subdued pastel colours. You can use the Smart Life app to get the exact colour you want with a colour wheel or just tell Alexa to change the bulbs to a certain colour, so easy to do.As most colour smart bulbs, the price is a little more than expected but this is normal for colour smart bulbs, especially in a slightly more obscure G9 fittingâ¦

unfortunately just a few weeks after purchase one of the bulbs started to overheat and turn off. Amazon very kindly refunded me even though the returns by date has gone past by one day. Disappointed at the bulb as led’s should last longer than conventional ones

Easy to pair and control with Alexa
The instructions for setting up these bulbs are clear and easy to follow, and the bulbs pared very easily with our Alexa devices, so we can voice-control them. They can take voice commands via Alexa to switch on and off, change colours (and the colour rendition is very good). There is a minor problem in that one of the pair lags very slightly behind the other when responding to voice commands. This may because the data commands aren’t sent at the same time.We’ve had problems in the past with smart G9 bulbs being too long for our light fitment, these ones are only very slightly longer than the original halogen bulbs so they fitted well for us.

Easy to set up and bright white as well as colours
These bulbs which are energy efficient and tend to have long lives were a doddle to set up using the Tuya smart home app on android (also available for iOS devices)I also use Alexa and the bulbs were almost instantly recognised by Alexa as well without me having to pair them with the Alexa app.I use the Tuya app for a large range of smart home devices as I find it very easy to use and intuitive not to mention it guides you through the set up process so it is refreshing to find that these work with the same app.The colour range is lovely from flashing to fading through various colours including a colour chart wheel that you can select any colour from and the whites are reasonably bright especially the bright, clinical white. Warm white is also available. These bulbs can also react to music/sounds etc.They are slightly larger than standard G9 bulbs but they fit perfectly fine in my wall lights.The bulbs look well manufactured and I’d say the price is reasonable at £19.99 for 2 although at the moment there is a 20% discount saving you just under £4.I can highly recommend these due to their ease of setup even for newbies to the Tuya smart app and their functionality which is great and allows me to switch them off and on remotely, set timers and with the app I can also monitor their energy consumption.If you are intending to use 2 bulbs in 1 location like I am and you don’t want to ask Alexa to turn them on or off singularly then you can group these in the app (although a little more difficult to do it would be best to look online how to group a set of lights together so you only have to give Alexa one instruction)5 star bulbs and I’ll revisit the review if they give me any issues and advise accordingly but at the moment I think these bulbs are very good.

Easy to Set Up and Works Great!
Really good smart bulbs! Very easy to set up with Alexa and Google Assistant. The colour-changing feature works perfectly, and they can also be dimmed, which is great for setting the mood. Really happy with these!

Perfect
This bulbs are excellent. They provide superb colour range and are perfectly bright. I love that they connect through the Tuya app as this will allow me to use them through Home Assistant. I’m really delighted with these bulbs. I can’t fault them.

DO NOT BUY
Do not buy these bulbs. You need to download a paid for app 4.99 per week and the instructions inside the packet say they are not dimmable despite being advertised as dimmable. Total waste of time.
