Mr. James M. Long –
Superior support
I brought this to aid in my Munroe bagging in Scotland because I’ve become prone to my ankle twisting after a previous injury. Quite straight forward to put it on but a fair few steps and have to unlace it every time. While wearing it the support was immense, i couldn’t even turn my foot to its side so i definitely wasn’t get a twist! Unfortunately it was a little too big to wear with my Brasher boots so i ended up not using it but having it with me in case i did sustain an injury because this would also be brilliant to wear while injured.

Right for me
I have been using these ankle stabiliser for the past 6 years – started using after ankle surgery, & I can honestly say I would be lost without out it! This has saved me from having my ankle fused – so grateful to have found this one suits my needs perfectly.

Perfect
After a few miss-hits with different brands, this is brilliant – so much better and worth the extra £. It actually does what I need it to do – stabilize a strained ankle.

ASO is good product and does what promised
I’ve used this for over a month now. Fist weeks to support my injured ankle and later for sports like football, running and badminton. It gives fairly good support (considering it doesn’t have any solid materials in it) and doesn’t prevent the natural movement so much that I’d really notice it. I’d recommend it to anyone with prior ankle injury’s for future injury prevention and to one’s who already have twisted or strained theirs and need extra support while healing.

Poor fit, Poor stabilisation
Even after taking measurements before ordering it was still too large. Brace doesn’t brace… purposeless.

Delivery arrived as expected on time
Early days tried it on yesterday fit correctly. Size guide good though I would need a larger size but went with the guide size. Will only be used for certain events to strengthen the ankle. Not worn day to day.

Very good product

Bought this during my recovery from a grade 2 sprain. Good rigid support for my ankle. It is a bit bulky in size so wearing it with certain shoes might be tough. Less mobility if youâre planning to wear it for sports but does keep the ankle well supported.
Reviews for families –
I got this one with regular laces after reading another review noting that the laces are more versatile for dealing with swelling, versus the elastic Velcro laces. I measure small, just 11.25″ on my “good” ankle but my injured ankle varies with swelling from 11.5 to 12″ and even bigger. I bought both Medium and Small then, to see what fit better. The medium required me to lace it up as tight as it would allow and the laces then dangled very long– like, I could step on them. The bottom of the bootie under my foot was really bunched up. I sent the M back. The small had to be laced up fairly loose, leaving about the amount of laces across the top like any pair of laced shoes, and the length left to tie the bow was short, leaving no dangling lace. The parts that support the ligaments, the X parts, are snug and feel very comfortable and supportive. But, my foot still swells a lot when I try to be on my feet, so I am not able to tolerate the brace longer than a couple hours. I have to loosen it even more which leaves me with it not fitting, needing the length of the medium laces. The boot still puckers a little on the bottom/back. When I took the brace off after two hours my foot has deep imprints from swelling. Not sure if it’s just the shape of my foot, but I am thinking I’ll try another brand and see it it works better for me.

Took measurement based on instructions and it fit nicely. Not too loose or tight. Material seems good. Yet to use for exercising but looks promising.
