Great Motion Sensor – Reliable, Responsive, and Easy to Use
I’ve been using the Meross Matter Motion Sensor for a little while now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. It’s quick to respond to motion and presence changes, making it a great addition to my smart home setup. I’ve integrated it with Apple HomeKit as well as with the Echo, and it works seamlessly – just like my other Meross products, which have all been reliable and easy to use.What I particularly like is the sensor’s consistency. It doesn’t miss a beat, and the notifications through the Meross app are timely and accurate. Setup was straightforward, and the included cable makes installation even more flexible. The app continues to be one of the better ones out there – clean, simple, and functional. Comparing to some other similar apps, this one is really intuitive and reliable.If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the sensor case feels a little lightweight or plasticky – but honestly… it’s not a big deal at all, especially considering how well it performs.Overall, a great smart home device from a brand I’ve come to trust. Highly recommended.

A feature rich smart motion/presence sensor with the ‘matter’ protocol – shape of things to come
TL: DR It’s a motion sensor, it works, you don’t need a separate app, it’s wired, no battery option thoughI happen to have the Meross app – it does give additional functionality. However it was great that I got an email from amazon just after powering up the device to tell me: ‘A device on your network signalled to your Echo device that it is compatible with Alexa.’So, into the Alexa app, scan the QR code on the device and all was set-up in a couple of minutes – this is due to the ‘Matter’ protocol, and I like it – not having to install a new app every time you get a new smart device is welcome.Interestingly, a device ‘First Light Sensor’ was also added – I know the device has a light sensor, however it doesn’t show up in the smart home list when creating a routine and it does state on the product information that this isn’t supported by Alexa – shame, as it would be nice to incorporate a light sensor into routines – turn the lights on at a certain level of darkness etc, perhaps that will come in the future.There is also a ‘second device’ which seems to link the motion and light sensors but doesn’t do anything itself – it all seems a bit unnecessary and would be less confusing if just the motion sensor was the only device that showed up on the Alexa list.As other reviews have mentioned, the device needs permanent power via USB to work, and this does limit placement options compared to battery powered devices.Overall, I think there is room for improvement on the software front, which I think will probably happen. Comparing to other devices this has some quite advanced features which could make it worth the price if needed, but my requirement are simpler and I think I would prefer a battery operated device to avoid the wiring adaptions necessary for my locations.

Perfect for managing my garage light
I’ve waited a week to review this, and can say it is absolutely brilliant. It integrates into home assistant via Matter or if you want to see more entities, I use MerossLAN. Both allow local control, bypassing the cloud.It is currently set up in my garage as a presence sensor to turn / keep the light on. It took a little tweaking of the settings in the app, but it now reacts instantly with no false detections. WiFi is very strong and no drop outs, although I would prefer ZigBee.Very pleased with it

Il dispositivo è valido sia per creare un sistema di sicurezza sia per domotizzare la casa ma ci sono dei punti ancora che vanno migliorati.1- Il primo è l’alimentazione: un dispositivo così piccolo che va posizionato in posti come muri o porte non può essere alimentato tramite cavo poichè richiede una presa vicino e causa un filo lasciato sospeso che è di intralcio e antiestetico. L’alimentazione a batteria ricaricabile sarebbe una soluzione perfetta.2- Il dispostivo anche in diverse combinazioni tramite l’app non sempre è efficente e preciso, piochè a volte non rileva la presenza e quindi fa spegnere la luce con la persona nella stanza oppure nel momento in cui entri devi aspettare troppo tempo per far si che si accenda, a volte neanche si accende.Infine questo dispositivo l’ho scelto per le sue caratteristiche di rilevatore di presenza e non solo di movimento, perciò questi piccoli difetti non fanno si che il prodotto sia al 100%.

Estuve probando varios sensores de presencia, y lo que me gustó de este es que combina ambos mundos presencia + movimiento, la posibilidad de configurarlo en lo más mínimo también te ayuda mucho a adaptarte a las situaciones de cada quien, mi necesidad en concreto era combinarlo con luces inteligente para crear una automatización para el encendido automático de la luz del baño para que mi hija de 3 años al tener ganas de ir al baño por la noche la detecté y se encienda sin necesidad de decir Alexa enciende el baño o darle al interruptor, y así generarle confianza en que se puede levantar de manera autónoma, y la precisión para mí fue bastante destacada teniendo en cuenta que probé unos cuantos de movimiento sin alimentación solo con pila pero tenía un retardo de 2 segundos y precisión no muy buena, al haber invertido tanto tiempo probando quería destacar que funciona super bien yo la automatización la he integrado directamente con las rutinas de Alexa, ya que las bombillas que tengo no son de Meross pero se puede integrar directamente con las rutinas de Alexa.Agrego las rutinas que le creé en Alexa para que tengáis una referencia por si alguien necesita algo parecido tengo 3 rutinas una para el apagado y dos para el encendido en el que le establezco horarios e intensidad y color de encendido según nuestra conveniencia

Utmärkt! Fungerar som förväntat. Använder två stycken i källare och garage för att styra Philips Hue ljuskällor att slå på vid närvaro. Konfigureringen som sker i Apple Home, är lite besvärlig men när man väl förstått hur så går det bra. I början missade Meross Motion Matter Sensorn ibland lite slumpmässigt. Men nu efter de senaste firmware-uppdateringarna så funkar det felfritt. Närvarokänsligheten är hög. Att försöka stå orörlig för att lura den att släcka lamporna går inte.
