💧This smart sensor needs to be used with Meross hub, and the package includes the hub. Meross offers a variety of smart products, some of which require the Meross hub. Additionally, using a hub reduces power consumption and extends battery life for battery-powered smart devices. You can then easily control and automate them using Meross app. A Meross hub currently supports the connection of up to 16 Meross smart home devices like Meross water sensors, smoke detectors, and radiator valves.
💧Real-time Notification – When the water leak is detected, the smart alarm will immediately sound loud and flash while delivering an app message to you even while away. Eg. When you receive an alert message from the water sensor near the window on a rainy day, maybe you forgot to close the window.
💧Remote & Voice Access – The flood sensor is compatible with Apple HomeKit and SmartThings. You can get low-battery reminders and check alarm history on Meross app. If you own an Apple device, you can even use a voice command to ask for the status of the sensor.
💧IP67 Design & High-Quality – Fully sealed IP67 waterproof and dustproof design, high sensitivity, no false alarm. The threshold value for the water level is only 0.5 mm. Hopefully I’ll never see a notification from this
I like Meross products, my house is full of them from 8 light switches all around my house, to smart fire/smoke alarms & door/ window sensors.I’ve been wanting to buy one of these leak detectors for a while but never saw the need.. until my ceiling caved in and my bathroom flooded!I’ve since had work done to remedy all of the above but I now have lost all confidence in my house’s plumbing.. before putting the bath panel in, I put one of these Meross leak detectors in (after syncing up with my Apple Homekit ecosystem). I tried it out beforehand, putting it in some shallow water and all worked as it should.. so, I’m hoping that I’ll never have the notification from hell.. but if I do, I’ll be glad to have caught the issue before any more catastrophic damage!

Waste of money
Donât waste your money on this. I bought it hoping it would do the job, but sadly it just disconnected constantly, and then when I had an actual leak, it didnât trigger so it was completely useless. There are much better alternatives on the market, with more functionality and connectivity, that donât drop out. I binned mine and went for a different brand and havenât looked back.

Great Value For Money
We keep getting flooded so I bought this to go outside, put a semi cover over it so it wont go off if the rain gets onto it. Great value for money and it helps put my mind to rest especially if we get flooded during the night. It was also very easy to set up on my phone but I couldn’t set it up with Alexa ( might just be me).

Dodgy USB Cable
I noticed that a couple of people had mentioned that they had received faulty units. I thought I had too, but it turned out to be the supplied micro-USB power lead. Replacing it brought the device to life; using the supplied lead with other known-good USB devices confirmed that it was the cable that was the problem. In summary, it’s a perfectly good device let down by poor quality control on the cables.

Great Water Sensor – works with apple homekit
A really handy water sensor that works with both the Meross App and Apple Homekit (i’d configure both as the app contains history). Follow the instructions to setup the hub first, pairing it to the app on your phone, then pair the hub to the actual water sensor, once configured you can then integrate it into apple homekit.I carried out a test by placing the sensor into a plate of water, the sensor immediately started beeping, less than 2-3 seconds later both the meross app and the apple homekit notifications appeared.Note – you may need to enable leak notification in the meross app to get it to send its own notification which i’d recommend as it works independently of homekit.I’ve placed mine below the upstairs water tank and will be purchasing a second sensor for the downstairs master water pipes into the house.Highly recommended.

Not loud enough
This works well will the Meross app , although it’s fiddly to set up. It triggers an alert as soon as it comes into contact woth water but the alarm on the unit is far too quiet. This then triggers a notification on my phone but its the same sound as a message, and only happens once, so nothing to really draw your attention to it, which isn’t ideal for something urgent like a flood.
