One Magnetic connector does so much
Needed a way to get external screens onto my Microsoft Surface Book. Bought the MS Surface Dock which has a pair of USB C connectors for use with Displays and bought a USB C to HDMI Adapter and a USB C to VGA Adapter. Both work great and for the price are a great low-cost solution.The Dock also has a pair of USB C and USB A connectors and provides a simple one-connection to get everything connected to the Surface Book.

Corrupted ARM Graphics twice. Full reinstall required.Scruffy and roughly treated hardware rattling about in oversized box without packing.Returned within the week.

Not “excellent” condition as advertised
This item was not in excellent condition as is advertised. I would expect it to have looked almost new without a box. The item had scufs, chips and dings all over it. I would at best give it a “good” condition and had I known before hand I would have saved myself £60 and ordered one in good condition. I have not yet fully tested other than plugging it into my surface laptop 6 and connecting a monitor but it seems to be fully functional. Checked the warranty to find out when this was first purchesed 14th November 2020

Better spec than original dock, but less options for connection.
I bought this used so the condition was not great, but it did work fine.I was using another USB dock to connect my screens and there was often a noticeable lag even with mouse movement, so far with my 1TB i7 Surface Pro 6 there was only a bit of a lag when I had hundreds of Chrome tabs open.There are 3 things I am not so happy with.1. The charger is huge, so if I do want to travel with this it will be a struggle.2. The headphone jack is not usable with the speaker that clips below my Dell monitor as loud electrical crackling noises can be heard from the speaker. This noise is not there when the cable is connected directly to the headphone jack on the Surface.3. I think it would have been much more versatile with HDMI and Displayport ports as now I have had to buy converter dongles, which make it look much messier, adds to the cost, adds to how many items I need to carry if I need to travel with it and are another point of failure.However, it has more throughput than the original dock and does actually work, unlike the cheap copy I bought so I can live with these gripes.

Old and in poor condition.
Sold as “refurbished, excellent condition” but was far from it. Units were battered and looked like they’d had a hard life. No packaging at all, just put in a bit of bubble wrap and thrown together in a box – worse than old kit used from eBay. Return collection not an option so had to take time out to go to an Evri drop off depot – complete waste of time and money.

Great for home office
Fab little unit to quickly connect multi monitor setup and standard peripherals such as webcam. Reconnects effectively only occasionally devices are not recognised. Charges laptop optimally. Recommended.

This was advertised as being refurbished but in ‘excellent’ condition. It wasn’t. It works but the scuffs and marks show and security bar codeshow it has had a busy past life.
