Only works with one wired device.
Nice idea for chainging one device between machines, tried with a sm,all USB hub and it wouldnt work with a wireless mouse receiver, but had no problem running a keyboard or printer throuhg it.COmes with three cables all the same so if you dont already have one for a printer you dont need to buy anything else.

Works fine, but it is very basic
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ It works. I’m using it to switch a Stream Deck between two different computers and it works fine for that.+ It uses the correct USB protocol (USB A master to USB B slave) like your printer would. A lot of similar switches use the incorrect USB A to A protocol.+ Three USB A to B cables are included.+ It’s basic, functional and entirely mechanical, so there are no drivers or anything else like that needed.+ I love that all of the cables come out of the back, making it much more cable management friendly than most other switches of this type that have cables coming out either end.Things I didn’t like:- Build quality is basic at best. A cheap plastic housing and, while it works absolutely fine right now, applying just a little pressure to the USB plug drops the connection. It’s not designed to be plugged and unplugged frequently and I suspect that doing so would massively decrease durability.Do I recommend it?Yes, as long as you’re plugging one device into it and you intend to leave it alone when it’s set up and just press the button. Bear in mind it is only slow, old USB 2.0 and that every time you add length or additional connections to a USB 2.0 chain, you increase the risk of data transmission failure. If you intend to use this with a hub or extension cable, I suspect the build quality means you’ll have connection issues. But if you intend to just wire up a single device to be shared between two computers, this works fine.

I have my desk set up to switch between two computers — a laptop and a desktop. So far I’ve just been hot-swapping a USB hub between two USB extenders, but I’ve been on the hunt for a good USB switch that can do the job for me. Most of the cheap ones, for whatever reason, seem to be unable to handle hardly any wattage.I’ve got a mouse, RGB mouspad, RGB keyboard, and a microphone that I need to connect. That’s it — four devices with relatively normal power draw. I was hopeful this switch would work well for it because it uses a passive, mechanical switch, but somehow it still can’t keep all my devices connected at the same time. It always drops at least one of them.If you have just one simple device you need to switch between two computers, this will probably get the job done. I especially like that it doesn’t require any external power. But for me, my search for a USB switch that can handle a basic desk setup continues.

Umschaltung per Knopfdruck, LED zeigt aktiv verbundenen PC. Keine Treiber nötig, wurde sofort erkannt. Kabel waren direkt dabei, also sofort startklar.

I use this to switch a single keyboard and mouse between two computers that have their own monitor. I like this setup more than a KVM since you can see what each computer is doing at anytime.I’ve used this both with a single Logitech wireless receiver and a paired keyboard/mouse. I’m currently using it with an ancient Dell keyboard that has a built in USB hub with a wired mouse. I’ve had no issues with it.I like that the switch is mechanical – so it remembers the last selection you made. It also included ALL needed cables. The cables that go to the PC’s are standard USB A to B cables – so you can easily and cheaply find shorter or longer ones to best suit your setup.I also like all cables plug into the back, for a nice clean setup.
