Absolutely delighted with this bracket
Came across this wall mount by mistake but glad I did. Looks amazing on my wall, took me about an hour to fit with a multi tool, file, knife and drill.Comes with a template of what to cut out and instructions. Sounds better than before as the wall is stud/plaster and gives it an acoustic boost.Only issue I had was that there where 4 clips, unclear on the instructions where they all went – 2 where obvious….First fit the hub didnât âsnapâ into place but I removed the bracket, re seated it and it âsnappedâ keeping it secure in the wall.

Great product
Great product. Very easily fitted. I bought some double sided tape as I had read other reviews saying this was needed to hold it in place, but mine snapped right in and is holding firm.

Im in no way handy with tools so was hesitant to buy this having to cut a hole in the wall. Finally amped myself to do it. Ordered a drywall cutter traced the outliner of the holder that is provided. Got to cutting less than 10min and it was done. I did have issues with getting power to it but I whipped up something. Basically I made an extra hole bottom near the floor and passed the power cable through tied with a metal hair clip. Then I put a magnet through the hole that was made for the mount and started fishing. 5 minutes later I was able to get the metal with the magnet and pulled it out. Then tada it works. I did mess up by not using a stud finder because I made a hole and stud was there right down the middle. So the hub couldn’t sit in. So yeah I bought a hole patch (a new experience for me as well) got the wall patched then retired now knowing where the stud was and all done â looks greatð very happy with it. All this took (including patching the first hole) 35 minutes

TL;DR: Great mount, does exactly what it says and looks clean. Only difference between what I received and what was pictured was the MOUNTgenie branding that wasn’t in the listing’s product photos.I happened upon this listing accidentally, but I’m very glad I did. I’m very happy with the way this turned out and looks. I had my Hub sitting on my kitchen countertop previously and it kind of added a bit of clutter. Raising it and mounting it into the wall has made for a very clean look.Installation was pretty easy â use a stud-finder to make sure you’ve got a clear location for the cut-out, use a level with the template to make sure it’s straight, trace the template, then cut it out of the wall. I had intended to keep the drywall cut-out for easier patching down the road, but mine fell into the wall (heads up) â whoops. I also dropped one of the metal clips into the wall during installation as well, but it’s holding very firm with 3. Fairly straightforward all around.I didn’t want to create a new electrical outlet in the wall, so I just used a small cord grommet near the existing exterior outlet and ran the power cable through it. Looks pretty clean for my tastes.I didn’t need velcro or anything some of the other reviewers had mentioned, but I could see the potential need to use something to affix the Hub to the mount if you were going to handling it frequently (to tap the screen or adjust the volume manually, etc) â the Hub is placed into the mount and is perfectly sturdy, but it’s not held there by anything other than gravity, so it will move when you touch it. This shouldn’t be a problem for the majority of people, I expect.Very happy with my purchase and the end result â I would recommend it.

Little overpriced for a piece of plastic but is much nicer than having the device sitting on the bench.

You’ll find many mounts for this Google/Nest module. Most are a shelf like or an extending arm that bolts into the wall. This one will make your Google/Nest Home look like a tablet or a fancy wall mounted Smart Home Control Pad. Looks more professional this way. I’m planning to have one of each installed in my walls between the basement and the upper level. I have some tools at home so it was pretty easy for me to do myself. All you’ll need is a philips and flat head screwdrivers and most important a Drywall Knife. A different knife could be used but the drywall one is most efficient and makes the job much easier. Comes with the stencil to cut the opening. ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING: Make sure to install right above your power outlet. This way you won’t hit one of the 2×4 planks beneath the drywall. If you do. That will ruin your drywall. Comes with a power cord extension which I didn’t even use. The Google’s cord was long enough. I’m truly happy with the purchase. Already have more ordered for different levels of the house. Thanks!
