This is the first time I have purchased ethernet cable in a reel and after reading some of the reviews I didn’t have the highest of hopes, but I was actually pleasantly surprised.The cable arrives boxed and after a few minutes untangling the center-most end I was able to feed it back out of the box and seal it all back up to create a nice cable dispenser.The cable is thin for sure but it is sturdier than I expected. I accidentally hit one with a hammer pretty hard a few times running a long cable up the edge of my stairs, my life flashed before my eyes as I imagined myself having to rip up the entire cable and start again but no, everything was fine and the cable still performs flawlessly.Crimping is easy and I get full 100mb/s speeds on my network. I struggled at first using cheap crimpers and RJ45 connectors that I bought in a cheap kit but eventually realized the connectors were letting me down – after buying a pack of connectors from Screwfix everything went without a hitch.For £17/100m it’s an absolute bargain, and you have the added bonus of being able to cut all your cables to very specific lengths. For about £25 including crimpers and extra connectors I’ve run cables throughout my house with about half a reel spare for future use – really can’t complain.
