The best fan I have used by far
OK so I have used a fair few different fans over the years including Dyson and other premium (priced) fans and can easily say this is the best one I have used.Firstly it comes in a reasonably small box and is well packed and all packaging is recyclable. it requires assembly which is pretty straight forward and once assembled I liked that it isn’t very tall meaning it looks much neater than some of the towering high fans I have owned.The fan has controls on the top and has a display on the column, it comes with a remote which is very responsive and has controls for speed up and down, Oscillation, timer, display off and beep off the later two are a very welcome feature as I use it in a bedroom and bright displays are annoying.The fan seems well made and is solid when assembled, it has 2 things that make it a perfect fan firstly it is pretty much silent on the lower 3 settings and on setting 2 in moves more than enough air (it goes up to 12 which is great if you want hurricane level winds) and the second thing is that you can adjust the oscillation between 60-90-120 degrees which is a feature I’ve wanted on a fan for a long time as I don’t want the fan blowing around the room but in a smaller arc.I have only one minor gripe which is that the power supply plugs in at the top of the pedestal and it would have been nice if there was some way of clipping the cable to the pedestal as it just hangs down looking a bit unsightly.It currently has 20% off making it £80 which compared to other fans I think it’s a fair price and would highly recommend it.

Excellent, flexible, large fan
This is a substantial fan at a fairly substantial price. It certainly doesnât look particularly impressive when taking it from the rather anonymous box with lots of parts to put together. Nor are the supplied instructions particularly useful in helping with assembly. The number of parts thought, reflects the utility of the fan. It can be used as a desk fan or a floor fan with adjustable height options. It took me around 20 minutes to assemble it.There are a significant number of value-added functions beyond a basic fan. It has a clear digital display, which can be turned off at night to avoid distraction when sleeping. It shows which of the 12 available speeds is being used and which of three oscillation angles itâs using up to 120 degrees of motion. Thereâs also a remote control in addition to the on-fan controls. Iâm not sure that Iâll ever use it, but an âaromatherapyâ attachment allows the fan to distribute air thatâs scented. More usefully, the fan has up to a 12 hour timer so it can be used overnight for a set period. In addition the fan can be angled vertically to direct air, at its maximum extent to the ceiling or towards the ground.I donât understand the mechanics of the brushless motor or the design of the fan blades, but this fan is certainly quiet and at speeds one or two would be unlikely to disturb sleep. Of course, the fan will not cool the air in a room. It will move the air around though, and very effectively, so that the room temperature will be consistent. The vertical adjustment, with the automated oscillation, means that it can be precisely directed at night, to blow a steady stream of air over you which will cool you down. Plus, with the various height settings, for quite a large fan, the unit can be adapted so that it does not dominate a room unless itâs required.At time of review, the fan has a list price of £100, but is reduced to £90. This obviously compares favourably with the price of a Dyson fan, but all current models of Dyson fans have air filtration built in. This fan doesnât. Nor does it look anything other than a relatively utilitarian fan. Nonetheless, for the price, it delivers a steady stream of air, and if needed can be very powerful indeed. I suspect itâs one of the most powerful home fans about and if its cooling effect is not sufficient, the only option is to go for an air conditioner which will actually reduce a roomâs temperature.This fan combines flexibility, quiet operation at a low speed, and several extra features. Itâs not a designer item, but carries out its task as effectively as possible. As a result, a rare five-stars. Buy one.

Works well but buttons on back tricky to use
This fan needed assembling and the instructions were a little confusing but it wasnât too difficult to do. It feels sturdier than I expected given it comes in so many sections and is made of plastic not metal. The speeds 1-5 are pretty quite and easily as powerful as most fans Iâve used before. It does go up all the way to 12 but by then it feels like you are in a wind tunnel! I especially like having the ability to adjust how far it oscillates from side to side as I find most fans direct the air more widely than I want them too.The timer function is useful, you can either set it to turn off after 1-12 hours, or to come on in 1-12 hours. Being able to set it to come on automatically is especially useful for me as my bedroom tends to start heating up at dawn during the summer but I do not like leaving the windows open as the birdsong that accompanies sunrise also disturbs my sleep.The remote control is simple to use and it is easy to change the functions, including turning off the sounds on the remote control and the light up display making it easy to use at night. There are also buttons on the back to allow you to turn it on and off, change how many degrees it oscillates left to right and toggle through the power levels. These are a bit tricky to use though as they are not tactile and you cannot see them while looking at the display on the front to see what you are setting. I have docked one star due to the positioning of these buttons but do still highly recommend this fan when used with the remote control.

Top Quality Remote Controlled House Fan.
You just can’t go wrong with this Fan, Remotely controllable, 12 speeds, Oscillation, Timer….it does the lot.The Fan Noise at low speed is very quiet indeed and won’t disturb your sleep if used in a Bedroom, and you can of course set the Timer so you don’t get too cool during the night.A neat feature is you can set the angle of Oscillation, in other words how wide it swings to the left & right.Often you find a fan will cover such a wide Arc as it sweeps back & forth that the breeze it creates can send things flying all over the place, Paperwork…that Vase of Flowers,,,Watch Out !With this clever Fan you can narrow the swing right down and direct it to exactly where you want it to go…brilliant !Ok so it’s quite expensive but then quality comes at a price, and this is top of the range. Very highly recommended.
