Customers say
Customers find the light bulb to be of good quality with brighter and deeper colors, and consider it worth the price point. However, the functionality and connectivity receive mixed feedback – while some say it works perfectly with HomeKit and connects seamlessly to Homey Pro, others report it’s extremely buggy and rarely stays connected. Setup experiences vary, with some finding it easy to set up while others spend up to 2 hours configuring it. The color options and reliability also get mixed reviews, with some praising the color options while others report the color scheme being completely off, and some units breaking within a month of use.

Great Bulb, Worth the buy
This nano leaf bulb was a great purchase. It was extremely easy to setup, I used apple homekit and it was a scan, switch on and it linked extremely fast. The home kit options are great but limited. So I later used the official nano leaf app and there are a range of options, strobe effects etc. The bulb itself is nice quality and can be easily dimmed or set to 100% for a very bright light. The nano leaf bulb offers a range of apps to use along side the official app and allows me to use my Alexa, nfc tags (through shortcuts and apple homekit). This was definitely worth the money, especially at the price I got it for (1/4 of the price)

Great bulb if you can swallow the price
Works as promised! Apple HomeKit was easy as pie to set up. This was the easiest smart bulb I have ever set up and I think that has to do with Apple HomeKit. Their app is nice and has a fun community that can make different lighting scenes. I love falling asleep to a makeshift Aurora Borealis. The colors transition smoothly and crisply. There is NO flicker while the colors transition. They have a circadian lighting option that transitions from warm to cool back to warm. You do have to type in a location for this to work, but it works decently well. I just wish the sun didn’t set at 4pm…but that’s a UK issue…not Nanoleaf’s fault. ;)I wish the response time was faster. I can accept that there could be a delay when using Apple Home or the Control Center on iPhone, but even in their app, there is a solid 2-3 seconds of delay. I’ve used cheaper bulbs that react faster but with terrible color accuracy/quality. I’d rather not sacrifice color quality with response time so if this can be addressed in updates, great! If not, it’s not a deal breaker by any means. Great bulb, and there is a cheaper bundle directly from their website should you need more than one bulb. That might get you a better value overall. I just wish their tiles weren’t an arm and a leg.

Great easy to use light bulb
I can’t think of any faults with this bulb.I have previously had a different branded bulb which ended up being a bit temperamental and turning on and off randomly. I have never had those issues with this bulb. It’s simple to setup if you have a decent internet connection. I use it through the apple HomeKit app and it’s very responsive and great to be able to change the light colour at different times of day.Having spent similar money on a different product that wasn’t as good, I would say value for money here is great and it’s lasted so far quite a long time.

Unreliable and not compatible with other Nanoleaf products
Iâve received this product today, and Iâm already sending it back due to itâs unreliability and lack of compatibility, even with products of the same brand.I purchased these lightbulbs as the description stated these offered screen mirroring and I wanted to sync them with Nanoleaf 4d. Unfortunately, this is not the case as these lightbulbs are not compatible with any screen mirroring, including Nanoleaf 4D.The pairing process was quick and easy. I just scanned a code from the Nanoleaf app and the bulbs were linked automatically to Home Kit using my HomePod as thread router. The lights seemed brighter and had better colour than Philips Hue but they were constantly unreachable from both Google Home and Alexa. Home Kit could control them, but the other two assistants couldnât. It was also a pain adding them to the Google Home app.As multiple users mentioned, these are just Home Kit bulbs that might work if you just want a smart bulb to add to Apple Home Kit. If you are looking for interoperability with other systems or any buying them for screen mirroring, look elsewhere.

Connectivity issues
Quick delivery, really easy to install via the app. Connected them to my Google home app and when they work they are great, working with automations etc. But they keep dropping connectivity with the app. I have some plugs installed at the same time which are having no issues so I’m confident it’s not my WiFi or the Google app. They work fine through the product app as a back up, but it is annoying having to repair them every few days.

Everytime apple release an update the bulbs will get disconnected for few days.

Bought this to replace some cheap genio wifi rgbcw bulbs cause they are not home kit, thought it will be better but the connection was slow and laggy sometimes (because it is Bluetooth, not wifi), another annoying thing is to there is no fading when switching to different mode or color, something my cheap bulbs can do smoothly, this 40ish aud bulb can not

Emerging technologiesâ crucial word is: Should. âIt should work,â âshould be fine,â etc. Nanoleaf updates the firmware for their products constantly. Each time, it âshouldâ work, better. But very much like Apple, each update creates issues that never before existed. Like when the app says you canât update more than 3 devices at a time, and you are only updating one. Yes, you must update the light bulbs (which is actually indecision: âOh, we can always change the firmware if it doesnât workâ). The negative applies too: âOh, it shouldnât do that.â Or maybe, âI shouldnât have to do that.â Look, itâs great in concept, and the damned things do work, as long as you are prepared for them not to. All this for a 9W bulb that is actually quite dim, once you start asking it to change colors. Their execution is not ready for prime time. Or wait, it totally is, if you are ready to pay to join their R&D department. Because â like Apple â they know early adopters are thrilled to work for free. Even better, they will PAY to work for free! Because, like someone in jail, you have loads of free time, right? And donât forget: you need a device to change colors. So if you absolutely must turn your home â or dorm room â or prison cell! â into a disco, go for it.

This smart bulb is fantastic! Easy to set up, bright, and offers great color options. Controls via app are smooth and responsive. A smart lighting upgrade thatâs definitely worth it!

The light does what it should. The app needs work. Some automations donât work reliably
