Works well but not quite in the way I thought.
On testing the unit it works well but once the sensor is triggered that its night time, it has to run its course, either 4 hours or 7 hours. This could be problematic if you leave it in your home, pop out for 2 hours and then on return have to sit there with this still flickering at you. The sensor does not react to the change back from night to day light so only useful if you actually go out for the full 4 hours. I thought it would simply switch back off once all the lights were back on, but appears its not designed like that and has to run the 4 or 7 hours from there on. You also need to get a 5 volt wall charge for this, it does not state what wattage it should be but I would err on the side of caution and not use your high wattage power mobile phone charges incase its too much for its circuitry and risk it catching fire – I used a very old low wattage SAMSUNG USB charger. Also triple check the voltage rate of your chosen charger as they vary widely and the writing on them is tiny. The unit itself is robust, appears well made and of good quality plastics and metals. When in “standby” mode waiting to go dark, for some reason some of the LED lights are alit – I can only assume because the power draw required for LED’s is so low, even in standby mode they get enough power to them that some just light up a bit.

works well, bright, NB no usb adapter supplied (_1 star as no usb power adapter supplied)-nice and bright, and the ‘timing’ of the flashing is suffice to look ‘real’.NOTE there is NO USB power adapter included (any usb/ phone charger etc will suffice)Note; that the timer button is rubbish, as is the dusk button- just leave set to ON and use a third party timer/smart plug.TIP -when using with a Smart power plug, this works just fine. Would also recommend some Smart Bulbs/ lights timer to complete the ‘occupied house’ appearance.GOOD enough to recommend this item over similar others.

Really good gadget
great little gadget⦠it works as expected, the tv simulator light comes on automatically and allows to be left on either 4h after the sun sets or 7h.It is bright enough to create that sense of having someone watching the TV, it is very compact in size and works like a charm.I truly recommend it.

Excellent device and good value for money. Works perfectly well with an electronic timer giving the impression that the house is occupied when we are away from home so as to deter any potential burglars. The USB connector is a good feature and is used with an adaptor into the mains power supply. Device includes 4 switch settings – on, off, dusk settings with timer for 4 and 7 hours. Highly recommended good quality product with instruction leaflet included in box.

I bought this item after watching security advice on TV before a holiday. Unfortunately after testing it before I went away the timer facility did not work and it was on all day and night. Even with a separate time switch it was unsatisfactory so I ended up not using it..

Tv light simulator
The light is a great unit. Lights the whole room. So looks like the actual tv is on. At night. Unfortunately when you set the timer to 4hrs or 7hrs the light does not switch off. So it is recommended to use a plug in time with a usb plug. Then it works perfectly.

Bei diesem Gerät wird offenbar nach Zufall gesteuert, das macht das Licht wirklich einem Fernsehr sehr ähnlich. Man könnte noch eine Variante mit Batterie machen. Ich kann es empfehlen.
