A good solution for the right surface
I bought this mount to avoid drilling my smooth uPVC door in order to fit a Ring Doorbell Plus. So far this mount has worked perfectly. Both the fit to the actual doorbell (short screws are supplied) and the adhesion to the door are perfect. Make sure you clean the surface well before fitting and press the mount to the surface for a few minutes. A really good solution if you have a suitable mounting surface.

Just purchased this a long with a ring camera and
It damaged my ring camera (4th gen) followed instructions and saw how other people did it to figure out how to attach it. Even left the mount to stick for 12 hours without the doorbell and it seemed secure.My previous 2nd gen camera had been mounted to the same spot with licence plate adhesive tabs with zero issue for 2 years.The adhesive strips on this in the same spot didnât even make it 24hours and now my BRAND NEW ring doorbell has been damaged as in the picture.Donât waste your money. Get licence plate adhesive tabs. This no drill mount is crap.Have now gone back to 3M mounting tape and numberplate adhesive strips (both I use on the cars) and itâs staying put again (update some days later. Itâs still stuck on with the adhesive strips. The ones on this arenât upto the job. As Iâve already stated use either 3M mounting tape or numberplate tabs. Cheaper and work better)

What I don’t understand about these reviews is that NOBODY mentions compatibility! I wasn’t sure on taking a chance with this mount because of all the bad reviews, but let me set the record straight – this mount works brilliantly with the Ring Video Doorbell Plus!For those thinking of getting one, you just mount to the four outter holes lower down and outside of the mount. Instructions on the QR code worked for me, you just use the screws labelled B, and the A screwed are if you’re using the wedge or corner attachments with it.I’ve stuck this onto a uPVC door panel, and can safely say at this stage that it isn’t coming off easily! I held it in place just over 4ft from the ground after removing the two strips in the back, and about 50 minutes later, I screwed the Video Doorbell Plus to it. About 30 minutes later, it started raining, and it survived! It’s been 3 days now, and we are facing a deluge of rainy weather – it’s still working fine and solid.I’m so glad to have gotten this, as I didn’t want to have more screw holes in the panel, which were there from previous tenants. Obviously YMMV depending on the material you mount to. You need to ensure it is as flat and level as possible, and that it is clean (I used an alcohol wipe). Definitely worth it!

This has been up about a week and so far so good. I did attach to my metal door instead of the frame/trim so I get alerts whenever I open the door but that surface was smoother than the trim. I did have to attach the backing to the camera (that you use the little orange tool to remove) as the cover plate did not come off but the 4 screws still lined up. Anyone with that little orange tool or strong enough to rip it off the door can steal it – itâs not locked down at all so keep that in mind. I had also tried the off brand door clamp and that seemed to be even easier to steal and didnât fit due to the door window trim.
