Noticeable improvement!
Much needed upgrade over the Stick Up Cam 3rd generation. As always, itâs easy to set up and pairing to the Ring app and WiFi.Visibly there is an improvement when switching on HDR. Low light performance has very much improved and is so much better compared to the 3rd generation. Field of view is much better and covers more in the frame.The 2k upgrade is noticeable over the old 1080p version.Itâs a great camera as Rings entry level camera with one of the best apps out there for usability, speed and reliability. I will be looking to upgrade my other Ring cameras based on this new model.If you are in the Ring system already it represents value for money but I would like to see their pro line get a refresh and upgrade to 4k.

A good camera for the price. Easy install.
This is a good camera and easy to install. I got the plug in version. I’m not 100% sure the quality is 2K as advertised, but its still very good and good audio and much better than the doorbell version. For £70 you can’t go wrong. It also has an alarm you can trigger, but I feel it should be louder than it is.I would recommend.

Not a WiFi upgrade from the stick up
I have 5 ring cameras – an outdoor stick up – 2 indoor and 2 floodlights, so when I saw there was a 2k version of the outdoor stick up, I decided to upgrade my existing one. This was a mistake and I have sent the 2k camera back for the following reasons……..it does not automatically refresh on the dashboard regularly, you have to go to live view and then back before it will refresh – the WiFi feed deterioted a lot (the camera was situated in the exact same place as my regular HD stick up,) the RSSI went from 31 (stock up) to 71 (2k). The clarity was actually worse than the HD or similar at best. When you viewed a recording the screen was blurry for a good 15-20 seconds before it rectified and cleared itself up a bit. My other cameras also started to have issues refreshing on dashboard after I installed the 2k. Those havve resolved now that I have reverted back to the stock up.This could all be caused by the 2k requiring a really strong WiFi signal, but considering I am currently at 31 with the HD I really don’t know how strong a signal it expects to perform to an acceptable standard.

Camera sees in the dark
I’m pleased with this. I get high quality colour images 24 hours a day. It is a great adjunct to my Ring doorbell. I live in a city centre, so it records a lot. The battery was only lasting three days. I’ve turned down the sensitivity. Now less is captured, and I get 10 days from one charge. I think I will add a solar panel and see if I can increase the sensitivity again while preserving batter life.

Excellent. The quality of the camera is far better than the older model. I found the solar panel incredibly easy to set up and feel alot more confident with the coverage. No signal issues to note. Good quality camera.

DOESN’T READ VEHICLE REGISTRATION PLATES
Very clear image comparison with my Ring Door Bell. Easy to position and fit outdoors.Reason for 3 stars – DOES NOT PICK UP OR RECORD VEHICLE REGISTRATION PLATES!!Major let down by Ring. Would of thought the technology would have been within this 2K Camera to achieve this!!

Ottima videocamera, posso solo dire, siccome è perfetta in tutto e per tutto, che anche non fare l’abbonamento non cambia tanto. Avendo già parecchie Arlo Ultra ma con abbonamento caro, vi assicuro che andate al sicuro anche con il suo pannello solare a parte non c’è più bisogno di caricarla
