Tips:
Use D-Cell Alkaline Batteries (not included). Install the batteries with polarity in the correct position.Make sure the battery cover is securely fastened. Make sure the switch inside the battery case is in ‘ON’ position before using.Do not mix old and new batteries, replace all batteries in a set simultaneously: Older cells drain power from new ones, reducing efficiency.Avoid low temperatures (<0°C): Reduced output in cold environments, but performance recovers at room temperature.
Installation
Unscrew the mounting base by turning the thumb screw counterclockwise. Secure the base to the surface using the included anchors and screws.
Reinsert the spotlight into the mounting base and tighten the thumb screw to secure it in place.
Adjust the spotlight head to the desired angle using the knuckle screw.
Where to Install Your Security Light
For best results, position the motion sensor so it faces across the area you want to monitor, rather than directly towards or away from it. The sensor is most sensitive to movement across its field of view.The coverage range of the light may vary depending on the installation height. For optimal results, install the light at the recommended height of 2.0 to 2.3 metres.Ensure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the area you want to protect. Avoid any obstructions such as walls, fences, or large objects.Do not aim the sensor directly at windows, as reflections and temperature changes can affect performance.Avoid installing the light near sources of interference, such as moving machinery, fluorescent lights, or heating and cooling units, as these can trigger false detections.

How can I check if the light’s motion sensor is working properly?
The outdoor light will only be activated when motion is detected in the dark. To test if the light is working correctly, place it in a dark environment and make a movement in front of the sensor.

Does the job
This is a very good light easy to fit clear light and holds for a good amount of time I got it mainly for going out the back at night to put bin out etc I would recommend this price very reasonable well-made

Easy to install
Positive:Arrived on time, well packaged, and in good condition. Simple to set up and put up (although I would recommend the screw fixings rather than the sticky pad). Lots of adjustment. Its not a security light, so not super bright, but easily good enough for what we want it for ie to light up the back door and surrounding areaEasy to install add some batteries ( not included) either stick it to flat surface (sticky patch included) or screw itNegative:The casing does not have any rubber seals around the battery compartment, making the surviveability of the unit in heavy rain not 100% likely, although the screw-fit compartment does look snug enough to hold up to light/medium. Because of this I’d recommend placing somewhere slightly sheltered if at all possible.The detection sensor on the unit is not quite up to the stated 5m range, but it does activate from only my head movement from 3m. It is possible the sensor works up to 5m if it was activated by something bigger like a car on a driveway.

Great when no mains power
This works so well. I use rechargeable batteries and recharge every week. Even in the coldest weather they last well. Had for over a year and no problem. Just got this one as I didn’t screw the last one in properly and I smashed it. My mistake. Great item

Ok, perfectly adequate but not totally ideal
Bought it to lighten up bin space on dark nights: and it does that.When youâre within range (close) light comes on. Itâs not âdaylightâ but itâs perfectly adequate, stays on for around 30 secs. Move, and it comes on again. Doesnât shine far, but I have angled it down to a) light the bins and b) not shine across the courtyard into peopleâs windows.Itâs fine, does what I want, happy with it.Oh, one thing: not too easy to fit. The base didnât seem to detach as per instructions but got it installed none the less (donât try it with batteries in, theyâre the heaviest part and just add to the scanner when trying to screw it to wall)

Badly designed!
Far too flimsy poorly designed for the weight of the batteries needed .Went up ladder to adjust angle and the whole thing just fell apart and landed on floor broke and unrepairable, £12 for batteries which are of no use to me now!

Great outdoor light from 1984
Ok, My mistake did not read that this is powered by 4 D cell batteries! I did not know they even make those big D cell batteries anymore. Anyway, due to the awfully low power this light works as well as can be expected. The I>R function only picks up if you come within 5-6 feet and the light is Ok. To change the batteries is difficult when it is mounted in any sort of vantage point as you have to unscrew the whole rear end. Batteries are quite expensive so maybe look at rechargeable or better still look for a light designed and made in this decade.

Ho trovato particolarmente difficile la collocazione (e quindi futura sostituzione) delle pile, specialmente per uno che, come me, non ha più molta forza nelle dita. Ciò nonostante, dopo la preparazione (effettuata seguendo le indicazioni) ho controllato che la lampada (al buio) si accendesse se avvicinavo una mano tenendola con l’altra, e ciò avveniva, per cui, non preoccupandomi del fatto che arrivassi quasi a toccarla, pensavo che fosse a posto. Peccato che una volta installata sopra la porta d’ingresso (ad una altezza di circa 2,30 m) però il sensore non rilevasse assolutamente nessun movimento e la lampada rimanesse sconsolatamente spenta; solo salendo su una scala e arrivando quasi a toccarla, la lampada si accendeva. Restituita.

Habe den LED Strahler in einem Gartenhaus o. Stromanschluss angebracht (ca. 2x3m), der Strahler leuchtet den Raum absolut hell aus, der Bewegungsmelder reagiert schnell, zur Lebensdauer und Haltbarkeit der Batterien kann ich noch nichts sagen. Duch 2 Einstellmöglichkeiten lässt er sich auch gut justieren. Optisch und von der Verarbeitung ist der Strahler natürlich kein Designhighlight, aber für den Preis völlig o.k., wirkt auch relativ stabil u. robust. Nachdem das Gartenhaus aus Metall ist, habe ich ihn nicht angebohrt, sondern mit tesa Powerstrips geklebt, hält bombig obwohl er ja durch die 4 D Batterien realtiv schwer ist.

Was 4 kleine LEDs so hinbekommen ist beeindruckend!Die Helligkeit ist Super! Die angegebene Leuchtweite von 5 m wird locker übertroffen.Ohne abzug von Sternen wäre es super wenn man die leuchtdauer oder Empfindlichkeit einstellen könnte aber bei dem Preis kann man einfach nicht meckern.Die Lampe geht gerne mal bei Wind an wenn sich Kleinigkeiten bewegen, trotzdem haben die Batterien jetzt 3,5 Monate gehalten.

Nach Bearbeitung des ON/OFF Schalters geht dieser nun beim Einbau nicht mehr auf OFF.Zwar geht er immer an und aus wenn man sich im Raum bewegt, dafür ist er aber sehr hell, leicht einzustellen und zu befestigen.
