Good keyboard substitute
This is a reasonable quality product, with the lettering, plastics on both upper side and underside being high quality. The design itself is also ‘Apple’esk though with a sprayed metallic silver finish over plastic, which at this price point you can’t complain. The finish is decent enough. The underside has 4 domed rubber feet which is a nice design touch (compared to rectangular ones) and looks ‘designed’. this isn’t an ugly keyboard, and is fresh looking. Thumbs up in this department.Typing wise, the keyword feel is also quite good. Where it falls over is the return button is essentially not in the same position as the Apple keyboard. This keyboard has the character where you normally strike it on the Apple keyboard, so if you are a touch typer and change from this keyboard to other Apple keyboards, you need to adjust your typing for the return key. You can see the differences of the return key in my photos. The Apple return key is vertical with the major strike area at the top where the character / is on this keyboard. This keyboard’s return key is horizontal. Various other symbols are not in the same position as the Apple keyboard though these are very infrequently used symbols so is not too critical. The only symbol that you might use more frequently that is ‘out of place’ is the pipe symbol | which is located above the return key instead of on the left of the return key on the Apple keyboard. But with symbols you normally look for them rather than touch type them, so not a big deal. The return key for touch typing may through you if you regularly switch from Apple keyboard to this one. Not an issue for iPhone users or Ipad.There is also no explicit ESC key in the top left. But pressing FN and the top left ‘square’ button button does the same thing. So no sleep lost there. It does have the all important COMMAND, ALT/OPTION and CONTROL keys in the correct place and size on both sides of the space bar so this is the major plus for Apple users. 5 stars in this department. Other generic keyboards cater for windows.The other minor issue is the front centre of the keyboard underneath the space bar is slightly raised by a few millimetres, it’s just manufacturing of the board which has inherited a slight bow. I bought two of these keyboards and it is present in both so isn’t an individual defect but a manufacturing characteristic / consequence of the material used and design and will be present in most.If you type with any real pressure the keyboard will flex because of this bow, if you are a light touch typist who feathers the keyboard then the flex won’t be noticed. If you press the space bar firmly you can hear it knock against the desk. But in real world touch typing with gentle pressure it isn’t too noticeable.So in summary, good keyboard, only real issue for me is the size and shape of the return key.

Well designed compact keyboard at a reasonable price
Unboxing this keyboard and slipping in two batteries (careful about direction) and pairing took a couple of minutes. Take time to read the instructions – few as they are – and you can’t go wrong. Worth noting is that on my tablet you can pull down a menu and turn on and off the virtual keyboard or you can have both if you so desire.The keyboard is ultra compact, thin and light. Yes this is a compromise and you will have to do a bit of practising and adjusting from your normal keyboard. You can feel the keys and that is important if you touch type. Not just an indistinct rubber squish which I was fearing.You can jump around and return to home screen (square button), but there is no guarantee that all applications will be fully controllable via the arrow keys. Found it pretty hit and miss on my most popular apps. Always can add the text though the keyboard on all of them. Might need to queue the box by hand or pen.Very pleased. Lots of thought has gone in to this and you could easily do a day’s work in the field. Worth always having a couple of spare penlights handy (not included in the price) because you never know when this might run out of juice. The keyboard turns off after ten minutes of non activity. Comes to life when you start again, but it takes a moment to wake. Turn it on and off via a rear switch if you want a hard off. Also worth noting is that Bluetooth (alone) can drain battery if you are in the field. Also you might want to purchase a lightweight portable stand to complete the set.Tested on a Huawei Mediapad T3. 

Good,but…
Very inconvenient option that is with the blue on the screen, I threw the instruction and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. It bothers me that if I change another language, I can’t change back to the original one. Otherwise everything works fine.

The item is very good for the price, easy to connect and get it running, very user friendly and it os working perfectly good with an MacBook Pro!The keyboard needs 2 batteries which do not come in the package. I recommend it anyways!

I almost cancelled this item after reading that it won’t work with MacBook and that there is no ESC key.It works flawlessly with my MacBook Pro and the ESC key works too! You just need to press fn + the square button on the to left corner to trigger the ESC.Great value for money!
