Great – until it fails (which it will)
A year ago (late 2023) I bought several of these and wrote a glowing review – see below. I am now modifying my rating from 5 stars down to 1 star, because three of the five cameras I bought have failed. Put simply, they hate English rain and just conk-out after a heavy storm. So – a typical Chinese product, wonderful until it breaks, but not built to last even a year. My advice – look around for better and pay more to get more – I intend to.I had never put in a wifi camera before so I approached the whole concept with trepidation – especially since I needed it to cover the rear of our garden, over 30 metres away from our house, and I knew range would be an issue. I had very little faith that the camera would work (‘probably another bit of shoddy junk’) or that I’d be able to get my head around the iCam365 app. Having installed the camera (using a Wavlink exterior wifi repeater to pick up the signal) I am truly impressed. The camera itself is a miracle, producing beautifully clear video, tracking people automatically, panning on command from the phone, broadcasting an automatic ‘keep out!’ message in response to intrusion and so on. The iCam365 app that runs the camera is also great, being intuitive to use (which matters to me as I am a Mac user and not at all geeky) and very ‘conformable’ to your needs. It takes patience to get your head around all this but the results are worth the time spent. We are so pleased that we are planning to buy several more of these cameras to cover other zones around our property, and we don’t think we will be needing the £2,000+ professional CCTV alternative, which seems to do very little more. It’s not often one has cause to be so complimentary about a value-priced tech product like this – but I am thrilled with this camera and would highly recommend it, provided you are prepared to put in some time to the fitting and setting-up.OK – a few days later and not quite so ‘rave’. Cameras (now 2 of them) still working well, but I can’t get the ‘Humanoid detection’ to work, which is a bit crucial since one doesn;t want to be alerted by the motion sensor every time a fly or a leaf crosses the camera’s path. The iCam 365 app that this camera runs on appears to offer no customer support, so one is left having to pay more for advice from a ‘Geek service’. Not so great. System still working but I feel very much that I am on my own to sort stuff out.

This was a good camera BUT its only lasted 20 months and its caput there’s a buzzing coming from it and it wont connect anymore. been outside but under shelter. Will try another one and see.

Easy to install and full pan control on your finger tips!
It took me 10 minutes to program it. I basically plugged into a power socket, created an online account and scanned the QR code with the camera. I logged into my WiFi and I already had full control of the pan. Absolutely amazing. I tested in my backyard and currently is just hanging off my front window before I get to drill the wall outside. If dimmed, a spotlight will turn on upon capturing movement. You can select the active capture movement in settings. If pitch dark, the infrared goes on and you see mice black and white. If you sign up for the online service, the AI makes the camera follow any movement in the active area. Motion detection is great. Awesome performance and great quality. I’ll buy a couple more so that I can add 2 to the backyard!

Who has a plug socket 3 metres in the air?
I actually laughed when I opened the box and saw the short lead had a plug on it.I’ve had to ask someone to re wire it so I can actually use it.The manufacturer needs to rethink this if they are going to continue advertise it as an Outdoor product.Cameras that I have bought from Amazon previously, come with a connector on the end to enable an extension lead to be added.This product need this.Hopefully I’ll still be able to use it.

Product performance good, IP rating not true.
Product performance is quite good no complaints so far, but very disturbing reading some reviews regarding issues regarding heavy rainconditions. ( IP rating for exterior product does not seem genuine )As I live in Spain it hopefully won’t become an issue for me. But its a real shame that it hasn’t been looked into by the manufacturer, as I would have given it 5 star’s and definitely recommended the product.

Amazing kit
Cannot go wrong for £29. 5gz wife connection, easy setup and great customer support. Camera records clearly and accurately, and the motion tracking is fantastic. If anyone comes near my car it follows them till they have moved on. You can also set audible warnings of your choice if needed and the floodlight is a great bonus. 10/10.Bought another 2 cameras for the other end of the garden after the first two proved to be so good. Still excellent and now I have 4, easy to use , high quantity cameras. You can speak through them and turn a flood light on or off. All easily controlled from the app. Can’t recommend enough.
