Surprisingly good
Good for the purpose and surprisingly sturdy. I didn’t expect these to be able to hold onto 600 g lights and keep them in position, but they did just that. They also fit in perfectly with all 1/4″ camera accessories/mounts I have and are easy to adjust, giving great flexibility in setting stuff up.

Very useful piece of kit.
I have these holding smallish flash guns and as long as you connect them to a heavy base they are extremely useful and I can place the flash in any position. If you want to use them for macro and you have a largish plank of wood to screw everything down I would recommend getting a (What they call) cheese board which you can screw into the wood and then screw the goosenecks into the 1/4″ holes, works a treat. Apart from that, most of the small clamps I looked at, all can be attached to these. and unlike the shorter ones can be adjusted to hold things in any position. Just to help you on one more tip is to use split washers to attach, make sure you know they are in the right place because those split washers keep them in place, unless you know a guy called Arnie…

SOLID. Like really solid, you will not need to worry about the strength/weight capacity of these arms. They do weigh a bit due to the quality of construction, something to be considered.All around these are great. We use them to hold a dual hot shoe mount which holds Rode microphone and a web cam and this never falls out of place once positioned. Even handles slight knocks without moving out of alignment. Sturdy!

I have this rather antique (1940’s) Diehl bench grinder. It did not come equipped with eye-shields and has these very thick steel guards around the grinder wheels. I did not want to drill and modify. I looked around and either the present day grinders have a different mounting system, or a stand alone shield from a safety appliance firm ran $179. First I thought I could modify a clamp on iPhone holder for bed headboards.I pondered the issue further and looked at the LED light/ magnifier goose neck on my desk. Hey! If I can replace the magnifier with plain plexiglas, I’d be in business. Then I thought, since I have the plexi, could I purchase *just* the flexible goose neck, I can mount it directly to the workbench. I had the hardware and here I am! Under $20.

Using these on a tripod with an iPhone and mount so I can easily move the camera position around. Stiff and solid. Easily hold a phone and let you move the composition around. Just wish an attached base to make it more for me needs was an option. Like a large washer that one of these would be attached. The base is so small that having one gooseneck with a larger thin base would be nice. But for now, they work great. Easy to use.

Stiffer than I expected, which is a good thing because my microphone is heavier than I realized and I’m extending it almost 20 inches. Used with the 12″ ones with no problem. Screws into the 1/4″ connectors snugly.
