Not perfect but great for a mini label printer
I had the opportunity to review this as part of the Amazon Vine program :)This little PeriPage mini printer is actually pretty fun if you’re the sort of person who likes sticking labels on everything or just wants to print out random notes and doodles without faffing about with ink cartridges. It’s tiny proper “fits in your palm” size so you can just chuck it in your bag and forget about it until you need it, which is exactly what I did.Setting it up is about as straightforward as these things get: download the app, connect via Bluetooth, and you’re off. The app is actually not too bad (I’ve used much worse), and there’s loads of random templates and little clipart bits if you want to make your labels look a bit less boring. Print quality is… well, it’s a thermal printer, so text and basic graphics come out nice and clear, but if you’re expecting proper photo prints you’re going to be disappointed. Photos are black and white and a bit grainy, but for a quick sticker or a silly note to stick on the fridge, it does the job.The best bit is you don’t need any ink-just thermal paper-so you’re not constantly buying refills or dealing with dried-up cartridges (which is honestly a relief). Comes with a roll to get you started, and you can pick up more online without much hassle. Only thing is, the Bluetooth can be a bit moody sometimes and drops out for no reason, so you end up reconnecting it and muttering under your breath. Swapping out the paper roll is a bit fiddly the first time, but you get the hang of it after a couple of goes.If you want a little gadget for making labels, notes, or the odd grainy photo, this is a good shout. Not perfect-Bluetooth is a bit flaky and you’re not getting gallery-quality prints, but it’s definitely made organising my stuff and leaving passive-aggressive reminders around the house a bit more entertaining.★★★★☆ – Good

I was looking for a mini thermal printer and the Peripage P21 printer (aka. ALD-P210) was perfect for me because it is so small and lightweight and I can take it with me almost anywhere!It comes with a short USB lead, some random stickers (binned) and multilingual instruction booklet manual and a single paper roll, sadly no demo labels.Paper rolls are 57x30mm and are available to buy on Amazon in large quantities because they are typically used as till rolls. Thermal labelling is more expensive but again available in larger quantities based on usage, and there are more size and shape options available in different colours.I used the QR code in the manual to download the app from the Google Play Store or search Peripage app.On the first printing, I discovered I could choose three printing strengths or gradients. All printing was clean, and perfect copies in black and white. I selected PDF documents and some predefined art from the Peripage app. (See photo examples.) It can print postage labels, but the QR code will probably be too small to be scanned by the Postman with his dinky PDA!Windows Driver Installation: You can install the Peripage A6 203dpi Windows driver from the main website. Connect a USB-A to a USB-C cable, the included cable is too short. Once connected it will show in device manager/Universal Serial Bus Controllers as PPG P21 SD. Also, check which port it is on because you will be asked when you install the software driver. And when you do a Windows test print it will be 8 or 9 inches long so only do it once unless you don’t mind wasting paper.I hope you enjoy your new portable thermal (no ink required ever) printer. This one works great. Print out nice black and white photo. Fun to use. Surprised with the 300dpi. Didn’t expect much with this price point but was very surprised after using it. Ordered second one in pink. Cute, portable, easy to use, and looks premium. No problem with connectivity.
