really nice monitor
The monitor is easy to set up and has a very good clear screen. The photos I edit on this come out clear and the colours are spot on..

Bright, clear colours
It has a good pillar and substantial base so it is high up on the table without the need to put a book or two underneath. Good brightness and colour from corner to corner, detail in photos etc. is very good. I have no idea about its qualities as a gaming screen, not something I do.

Very good so far.
This is a review after one week of use.ProâsThe 16:10 aspect ratio is great for office and web browsing. No dead pixels so far.Lots of types of connections with cables supplied in the box.The usb 3.0 hub is easily accessible. The height, tilt and rotation are stable and easy to adjust. There is an app available to adjust the settings although the menu system is fairly easy to use.The location of the menu buttons on the front right are easily accessible.Clear type and evenly lit when testing with the eizo monitor test.ConsThe refresh rate of 60hz is quite limiting especially for gaming. The pixels are quite noticeable but this may be because the pixel density isnât that high for a 25â screen. The screen doesnât always wake up from sleep.Iâve disabled the smart sensor and that seems to have fixed the issue.I will update this review if any other issues arise.

Very good but take care
This is an excellent monitor with lots of connectivity options. It also has a VESA mounting option, and comes with screws holding the VESA plate in place. It is best to use these as they will be the correct length. However, there are holes into its innards right beside two of these screws and if you are not careful, as you remove the VESA plate, the screw can fall in and rattle around inside – don’t ask how I know (!) You can’t take the whole back off, so you have to shake the whole thing about until the screw drops out again.Alternately, temporarily put some sticky tape over those holes to stop this happening.

Really pleased with this screen which we chose for its variable height facility. It assembled easily and firmly and linked with the pc without issue.Great quality image too

Poor viewing angles. Otherwise good.
Well, I did my best. I read the reviews, checked the spec’s, all that stuff, …but the system beat me. I, quite reasonably, believed that this monitor would have decent viewing angles, what with it being sold as having an IPS panel, and with the viewing angle being quoted at a decent 178 degrees. But the viewing angles are awful. Viewed straight-on it’s fine, but even standing up from one’s chair makes the image go dark.Weirdly, the image becomes better again at extreme angles, but has this dark zone, which makes it look as if a dark bar is moving across the screen as you stand up. So, if for example you were sitting at a desk and someone came over and leaned over your desk to see what you were working on,, they would see that dark bar across the screen. So, it may, I suppose, have a visible enough image at 178 degrees, and has a decent image at 90 degrees (head-on) but the compromised and shifting image quality at just off the 90 degrees makes it difficult to work with. No one really uses a monitor at 178 degree angles anyway, but one should be able to get up from a chair and see roughly the same image when standing as when sitting!I compared this to my other monitor screens, a couple of which are getting on for 20 years old now, and the viewing angles on this Phillips monitor are very much worse.OK, that’s the bad bits out of the way. Apart from the poor viewing angles (which is a deal-breaker for me) the monitor is pretty good. The basic image quality from square-on is fine. There is no noise from the monitor at all, no buzzing, no whistling, regardless of the brightness setting. The 1920×1200 resolution is FAR better than the normal 1020×1080.The monitor looks very good: all black and frameless. There’s a full range of connections: HDMI, DP, DVI, and VGA, plus four USB ports. It has built-in speakers, which although not great, mean I don’t have use headphones all the time. The stand is good, allowing a good height adjustment, rotation clockwise or anticlockwise, etc.The stand can be removed very quickly and easily, revealing a 100×100 VESA mount. There’s no backlight bleed or other strange artifacts, apart from the viewing angle issues already mentioned. It’s quite easy to set up different profiles – I set up a very low-level one for comfortable text work and a brighter one for movies.Oh, and there were zero dead pixels on the one I was sent.In fact, this monitor ticks all the boxes for me, except for the very poor viewing angles. Unfortunately that means it is no improvement on my existing monitor, so I shall be returning it.I really don’t know where to go from here. If a monitor is sold as having an IPS panel, and the manufacturers say it has 178 degree viewing angles, but just doesn’t live up to that description, then I’m not sure how I can tell if a monitor is going to fit the bill without physically seeing it first.Anyway, if you don’t care about viewing angles, this monitor is pretty good, but I can’t give it more than 3 stars overall.

Bought two super happy – audio use line in audio not HDMI !!
Whats great:- Clear display, core job of “displaying stuff” no issues- Really bright, I had to reduce to 50% since I’m using these two monitors all day and lots of white displayed in emails etc- Excellent height adjustment- Stand looks plastic but is actually plastic coated metal, very solid- Many connection options, good for swapping between 2 PCs- Soo many cables included (HMDI, UK power, Europe power, VGA ….) so many it might actually be a negative point for waste !- Good price.Sound is fine for occasional iplayer, dont expect mega bass but good as a regular small TV …. unless you try to use sound over hdmi, which oddly seems not as clear, so recommend using a sound cable instead.

Scherm is in hoogte verstelbaar en je kan muis + toetsenbord aansluiten op het scherm zodat je met één (usb-c) kabel meteen alles hebt aangesloten op je laptop.
