Product Description

Discover The PPD 200g Premium Satin PE Coated Inkjet Photo Papers

Print Your Photos On Satin (Semi-Gloss) True Polyethylene Coated Photo Papers
PE base papers are made by amalgamation of normal paper pressed between two layers of polyethylene on both sides. The PE base paper is then coated on one side with an inkjet receiving layer which is the side you would print on. The benefit is that this paper is more stable and does not absorb humidity. Also it does not permit any ink that comes through the inkjet coating to penetrate to the paper and cause cockling (waves on the paper cause by over inking). Satin finish makes the perfect companion to PE coated papers. Viewing images printed on the PPD 200gsm satin paper is made easier by the low glare and light reflection off this paper. Photos can be seen clearly from a wider angle and are less affected by strong light conditions.

Printer Compatibility
Compatible with all inkjet printers using any standard inkjet ink, as well as pigment inks. Instant dry, can be handled straight of the printer, no more smearing.

Great for making playing cards
I bought this for making my own playing cards (from BoardGameGeek etc.) & find the satin finish is better for card shuffling than glossy. Also, I had been having problems with the glossy paper feeding in my printer & find this paper seems to feed better as it is more flexible & less stiff. The print quality is very good – ALMOST as good as the better glossy papers I have used & more than good enough for playing cards, so am very happy with this, esp. at the price.

Good value
Only available when someone has returned it. PPD will not send to Ireland, & Amazon do not have this paper for sale.

Prints well but Poundland Paper just as good
I usually use Poundland Polaroid Branded paper, 12 sheets for £1 and putting 2 prints side by side I cannot tell any real difference in actual print quality. Looking under a magnifier there is no apparent difference. This paper is heavier (Poundland is 220gsm)and I have no way of knowing if it will be more fade resistant. The longest I have had a Polaroid A4 print on my wall for is about 6 months and there is no sign of fading yet.The surface is very sympathetic to portraits, more so than the glossy Polaroid paper BUT the images are not as sharp, just like any kind of print where you are comparing a semi gloss to a gloss so didn’t come as a surprise. Is it worth paying £15.99 for 100 sheets of this paper instead of £8.33 for the equivalent amount of Polaroid paper at Poundland? Probably not for most people as once a photo is framed it is nearly impossible to see any visible difference. Don’t get me wrong, this is very good paper and I have no hesitation in using it but I think I will be keeping it for photographs I may want to last longer .

Good quality satin finish A4 photo paper
I bought this paper for a special project and I am very happy with the results. Good quality images consistently achieved. The satin finish gives clarity without the excessive shine of a gloss paper. I used an HP inkjet printer with genuine HP inks.

Impressed
Always got HP or Canon etc premium papers before. This is just as good at a lot less cost. Really good finish with the satin too.

Great B&W pics
Hello I bought this paper because of the quantity and the price, it arrived within 4 days. I am very surprised at the quality of the prints I have been able to do. I tried it first with a colour pic at the printers default setting and the print was very good indeed with very smooth gradations between subtle changes of the same colour.I then tweaked my printer settings and was able to get an almost black and white print, very difficult with a 4 colour printer, and something I’d not been able to do with other papers. After saving that setting and going back to the colour image and reprinting that the colours showed up far more naturally.I am going for a Royal Photographic Society distinction and will have no qualms about using this paper.

Tip Top Photo Paper
If you need a slightly larger print then this A4 size paper is fantastic. I have used this paper on many occasions and the quality is great. It give a lovely finish to your photograph. I use it on my Epson printer and have had great results every time. Well worth a buy. Just remember if the quality of the photograph subject is poor. Then you will not get a clear cut picture on a larger print. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
