Great fan
Great fan overall, good amount of functions, not too loud, easy to put together and it’s not too loud when running (noticeable, but not “in your face”) and, most importantly, it pushes air about. My main gripe with it is, everytime you change something, switching on/fan speed/oscillation etc… you get a very loud beep (like a playstation switching on), which isn’t ideal as there’s no mute function. Fabulous tower
Before I tell you why this tower is good, I’ll address two points: it’s noise level and how powerful it is.POWER: If you want a really powerful fan, get a rotary blade fan or a blower. This tower is powerful enough but it won’t create a tornado in your room.NOISE: I could sleep very easily with it running at the lowest setting, the mild cool breeze also helped, but it is not noisy at all. Rotor bladed fans are noisier, some of them doing like Wellington bombers (do you remember these?) on take-off. So this one is definitely not noisy. I haven;t used the sleep mode, as the lowest setting was enough for me.Other than that the design rocks, I really liked how easy it was to assemble (3 pieces and 4 butterfly nuts – very thoughtful for when you need to dismantle and store it for the looooooong British winter). Very easy and intuitive to operate. The display is very clear and can be switched off if it bothers you. It has a timer mode (the steps are in hours: 1-12), a sleep mode for whatever reason and a good remote control. In general a good overall product. I am using it for a month now and it performs superbly.

Good for small room
I bought this during the heat wave for my daughters bedroom. Firstly it is a fan and not a cooler so does not cool the temperature of the room but it cools down the skin by blowing over the subtle moisture of your skin. So for those who said it doesn’t cool down the room, no it won’t, you need air con or a cooler for that.This does work well, the settings are more useful than I thought, especially the child setting. Once you try them out you get to know what works best for your needs. In our room we tended to use it on full just because it was just so hot. In our daughters we used the child setting. Her room is tiny.Some people said it was a gimmick that it shows the temperature. I actually found it really useful, especially in a kids room. It’s so important that they don’t over heat and knowing the temperature really is a great start. Plus I think it’s interesting to know anyway. It seems fairly accurate as mostly matched our other digital thermometer. Although, I don’t think it’s exact, it’s close enough to get a rough gauge of the situation.Noise-wise it’s not silent or even a whisper. But it’s also not overbearing. It’s not loud. It’s what you expect from a fan and definitely quieter from our other previous fans. It didn’t keep our daughter up where as we have another different one that scares her. So it’s an improvement from that. I guess it depends on your expectations. Fine for us. Actually I like the sound, it’s a bit like white noise, waves lapping against a shore line. A good imagination helps!All in all it did the job. I liked the little hole to keep the remote control in. Easy to set up. I don’t think it would do much if you were more than a couple of meters from it really so not for a huge room maybe. And the lights go off after a while which to some might be a good thing but to me it means if I want to change the setting or turn it off or up in the night then I have to turn a light on to see what I’m doing. I’d have preferred light up buttons that you can keep on if required but that’s just being picky and actually I’m really happy so far with this fan and would but again.

3.5 – Not a cooling fan
Great fan overall, in consideration of the price.It is very easy to assemble. Many options to choose from which is quite nice. The quality feels a bit tacky, and there will be a strong plastic scent when you first use the fan. Personally my remote control doesn’t work, but I’m not too affected by that. The noise level is ok, not the best if its right next to your bedside table. Was quite disappointed that it was not a cooling fan from the advertising given.

Really good value for money and works well. Noise level is good, not silent but not enough to disturb sleep etc.

Quiet, easy to use and with a remote.Slight problem in the base, as it is a little too weak for the overall fan weight, but a level ground stops it from making any noise when in oscillation.Compared to a regular blade fan (which is noisy), this fan is remarkably quiet and with good power. I personally use it in the bed room, set the timer for 4+ hours and feel cool all night.A great buy, great value for money and highly recommended.UPDATE:Iâve had this fan less than a month and today it just decided to stop working. The motor stopped and I can smell burnt electrical wiring for the inside.The fan is really good, and Iâm tempted to get another one just out of curiosity incase I was unlucky with this first one.
